The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day checking and testing incoming loads on the transfer station, processing hazardous and non-hazardous waste, ensuring segregation and storage of hazardous waste meets requirements, labelling waste and completing documents on all incoming and outgoing chemical materials. This role would suit motivated and eager chemistry graduates looking to take their first step into industrial chemistry. The position is hands‑on, with around 75% spent working outdoors on site and around 20% in the laboratory. Role / Description • Oversee and organise the acceptance, inspection, and routing of incoming waste loads to maintain high operational standards., • Conduct technical assessments and analytical testing to support site management and compliance with regulatory requirements., • Ensure all operations align with company procedures and standards (BMS, ISO 9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001)., • Identify and report non-conformances or issues with incoming loads, following established protocols., • Generate and manage paperwork for load dispatch, stock control, and production records in line with legal and company requirements., • Collaborate with colleagues to support continuous improvement and effective site operations., • Maintain a strong focus on health and safety, attending required training and reporting risks or incidents as needed.
