We are looking to recruit an Assistant Site Manager based around Edinburgh in our Scotland East region. The role will see you provide on-site support to the Site Manager, ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with the build programme and to specified company and company standards. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Control of all labour on site including direct and sub-contract to ensure that activities are coordinated on a plot by plot basis and as scheduled on the build programme., • Monitoring of all site activities, direct labour and sub-contract packages to ensure that operations are carried out in strict accordance with the ‘Construction Phase Health & Safety Plan’., • Ensure that site security is adequate and maintained at all times including traffic management, prevention of theft and general public access, • Provide cover during periods when Site Manager is off site or for meetings, holiday cover or sickness where required REQUIREMENTS: • Experience working in a similar role, ideally with a Housebuilder, • Ability to plan, organise and monitor sub-contract activity on a day by day basis., • Positive can-do attitude to succeed and progress within the business, • Hold relevant industry qualifications and accreditations WHAT WE OFFER: • Competitive basic salary, • Company car, or allowance of £4,350, • Opportunity to earn 20 % bonus, • Company contribute 6.5% to your pension, plus other benefits

Daily Duties • Cleaning and maintaining site welfare, • Ensure that are materials are put away and stored correctly, • Supervise the unloading of delivery’s, • Maintain safe access and egress to the welfare facilities., • Maintain and develop pedestrian walkways throughout the development, • Erect and maintain that all signage is in place and up to date, • Maintain site presentation., • Maintain sales presentation., • Ensure that a clean and safe place of work is maintained inside the plots at all times, • Supporting getting plots ready for NHBC Inspections, • Maintain protection of 2nd fix items., • Opening and locking up site and plots at the start and end of the working day., • Keep walkways clear / traffic management, • CSCS Card, • The ability to work as part of a team and other trades people., • The ability to travel to various sites across the region, • Full Clean Driving Licence, • Have an awareness of safety issues At Taylor Wimpey, we are committed to enabling you to make a home with us. Senior Engineer - Bridges Permanent | Full-Time | 36 Hours per Week | An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Bridge Engineer to take a leading role within a well-established highways and infrastructure engineering function. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in bridge engineering, structural asset management, and maintenance design, who is looking to step into a senior role with real responsibility for technical delivery, team leadership, and programme oversight. The Role: As Senior Engineer (Bridges), you will oversee the day-to-day management of a diverse portfolio of highway structures, including bridges and related assets. Working closely with senior management, you will lead the development, assessment, and delivery of structural improvement and maintenance schemes. Key responsibilities will include: ·Leading the design and delivery of new structural works and upgrade projects ·Managing general and principal inspection programmes for bridges and structures ·Developing maintenance solutions and long-term asset strategies ·Overseeing structural surveys, contract documentation, and works supervision ·Managing structural asset databases and ensuring accurate reporting ·Supporting procurement and contract management, including claims and variations ·Providing technical leadership on abnormal load routing and structural safety ·Ensuring compliance with health & safety legislation and CDM regulations ·Mentoring and supporting engineers within the structures team ·Contributing to budgets, programme planning, and service performance targets What We're Looking For: To succeed in this role, you will bring strong technical expertise combined with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy engineering environment. Essential requirements include: ·Significant experience in bridges and highway structures ·Strong project and programme management capability ·Knowledge of contract administration and delivery frameworks ·Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills ·A proactive approach to risk management and structural safety Desirable experience: ·Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent) ·Experience leading or supervising a technical team ·Familiarity with AutoCAD or structural/highway asset software ·IOSH Managing Safely (or similar qualification) Why Apply?
