Purpose of the Role To lead a large and diverse security team across all sites within the Client’s iconic estate, from the world-class sporting venue with private members’ tennis club, to the outer sites encompassing community sports facilities and locations for pre-Championships qualification. The successful candidate will bring energy, enthusiasm, curiosity, and integrity to the role. The Site Security Manager is responsible for coordinating all aspects of daily security operations, ensuring the safety of people, property, and assets. They will act as the primary point of contact for the Client’s Security Team and the Security Account Manager, leading a team of shift supervisors and driving performance through regular one-to-ones and reviews. The role also includes maintaining accurate records and documentation, ensuring the delivery of a professional and compliant service aligned with contractual, legal, and regulatory standards. In addition to year-round operations, the Site Security Manager will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the annual Championships operation, held over a two-week period from late June to mid-July. Key Responsibilities Operational Management • Oversee daily security operations, including patrols, access control, and incident response, • Ensure compliance with assignment instructions, company policies, and industry standards, • Embed “best in class” customer service throughout all operations Team Leadership • Train, supervise, and support security officers and the supervisory team, • Collaborate with the Contract Administrator to manage annual leave, scheduling, and relief team resourcing, • Conduct regular horizon scans with the Contract Administrator to anticipate staffing needs or shortfalls, • Lead briefings, performance reviews, and welfare checks, • Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement Client Liaison • Serve as the day-to-day operational contact for the Client’s Security Team, • Attend meetings and provide regular operational updates and reports, • Respond promptly to client concerns, incidents, and emergencies Compliance & Reporting • Maintain accurate records of incidents, audits, and inspections, • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, GDPR, and licensing requirements (e.g., SIA), • Compile performance data and assist the Security Account Manager with monthly reporting Risk & Incident Management • Lead on-site incident investigations and escalate as appropriate, • Identify and mitigate potential security risks through proactive planning Working Hours • Full-time, site-based, • Business-as-usual: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00, • Flexibility required for operational needs, • Extended hours during Championships period (late June to mid-July) Salary & Benefits • Salary: £40,000, • Death in Service benefit, • Health Insurance, • 28 Days holiday + Bank Holidays, • Training Essential Criteria Qualifications & Licensing • Valid SIA licence (Door Supervisor or Close Protection), • Current First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid certification Experience • Proven experience in a senior supervisory or managerial security role, • Strong track record managing teams in high-profile or complex environments, • Experience conducting HR, welfare, and disciplinary meetings, • Experience delivering training and briefings, • Demonstrated commitment to first-rate customer service Skills & Knowledge • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, • Strong understanding of security procedures, counter-terrorism awareness, and relevant legislation, • Ability to produce clear written reports and maintain accurate records, • Proficient in security technology (CCTV, access control, radios, etc.), • High IT literacy, including fluency in Microsoft Office applications Personal Attributes • Energetic, enthusiastic, and eager to learn, • Professional, reliable, and adaptable, • Self-motivated and proactive, • Logical thinker with strong critical reasoning, • Self-aware and emotionally intelligent, • Calm under pressure with sound decision-making skills, • High integrity and discretion, • Confident communicator Desirable Criteria • Experience working full-time on a security contract in the sports, cultural, or hospitality sector; event experience advantageous, • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent Health & Safety qualification, • Knowledge of emergency planning and business continuity, • SIA CCTV licence, • Relevant industry-specific training, • Full clean driving licence
