We are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor for a leading Social Housing provider based in Worcestershire, supporting commercial and property services across the local region on apermanent basis. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing costs, valuations, and financial performance across a range of housing projects, ensuring value for money and compliance with contractual obligations. Whats on offer: Rate: £46,887 plus a £1,300 car allowance Contract:Permanent Location: Worcestershire About the Company: Our client is a well-established Social Housing group managing a large portfolio of residential properties acrossWorcestershire and the surrounding areas. They are committed to delivering high-quality homes, maintaining strong financial control, and providing excellent services to their tenants and communities. Key responsibilities include: • Managing cost estimates, budgets, and financial reporting across multiple projects, • Preparing tender and contract documentation and supporting procurement processes, • Valuing works and managing interim and final accounts with contractors, • Monitoring project costs and identifying risks or opportunities to ensure cost efficiency, • Supporting contract administration and ensuring compliance with contractual terms, • Working closely with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders, • Handling variations, change control processes, and dispute resolution where required, • Ensuring accurate record-keeping and financial tracking using internal systems, • Supporting the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance programmesThe successful Quantity Surveyor will have:, • Proven experience in a similar Quantity Surveyor role, ideally within Social Housing or public sector projects, • A recognised qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline (HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent), • Strong knowledge of cost management, contracts, and procurement processes, • Experience managing contractor relationships and financial negotiations, • Good understanding of Health & Safety and compliance requirements, • Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills, • Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload, • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and relevant commercial systemsThis role would suit an experienced Quantity Surveyor available at short notice, looking for a permanent opportunity within a reputable Social Housing organisation.
