Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bicester. As an Assistant Buyer - Books, you will be pro-active in sourcing and selecting books that align with customer and market demands. Your responsibilities will include monitoring stock levels, liaising with publishers and suppliers, supporting retail partnerships, and analyzing sales trends to make informed purchasing decisions. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders will also be integral to this role. Skills you have: • Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and maintain partner relationships., • Negotiate pricing with suppliers, • Gather market knowledge and insight into customer and industry trends., • Produce the sales presenter for the customer, • Analysis of customer EPOS to give buying trends and further develop ranges., • Sales experience with a focus on meeting targets and understanding market trends., • Proficient organizational and analytical skills to support effective decision-making and process management., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with inventory management systems., • Experience in the book industry or retail environment is advantageous.

Title: Retail/Sales Assistant Start date: ASAP Duration: 2 months Location : Bicester Village Working pattern: 40 hours per week, including shifts and weekends Shifts usually run from 11 am to 8 or 9 pm, with Sundays starting at 12 noon Description: • Start each shift with a customer-ready floor and end by fully replenishing and preparing for the next day., • Stay active and engaged on the selling floor throughout the day., • Maintain fitting rooms, ensuring regular cleanups and readiness for customers., • Support markdowns, bi-annual inventory, and pre-sale activities., • Participate in store contests and contribute to team objectives., • Consistently achieve individual sales goals while demonstrating Burberry Behaviours., • Deliver excellent customer service with strong selling skills, motivation, and communication., • Build and maintain customer loyalty through active client development and follow-up., • Keep an updated and detailed client book, ensuring accurate client records., • Complete all Cultivate activities including relationship emails, client reactivation, capture compliance, and client invitations., • Follow company policies, procedures, and visual standards in line with Burberry guidelines., • Execute monthly floorsets and maintain visual presentation through proper replenishment and product handling., • Ensure merchandise is folded, hung correctly, and ticketed discreetly inside items.

Main Purpose Assist the Store Manager/Assistant Manager in the smooth running of the store in order to achieve sales and cost targets. Supervising employees, managing inventory and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities Lead, motivate and manage the store team to achieve sales and service goals. Deputise in the absence of the Store Manager. Train new staff and provide ongoing coaching and development for the team. Manage daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling and maintaining store cleanliness. Process all sales transactions quickly and efficiently. Assist with implementing shop merchandising. Assist with carrying out stock takes.
