    Maintenance Operative We are looking for an experienced and reliable Maintenance Operative to join our team, carrying out reactive repairs and planned maintenance across a range of properties. Although UCCE Ltd is London-based, our current contracts and projects are located across Oxfordshire, High Wycombe, Swindon, Slough and surrounding areas, so the successful candidate must be comfortable travelling to different job locations. Key Responsibilities • Carry out general building and property maintenance repairs., • Complete reactive repairs and planned maintenance works to a high standard., • Undertake a variety of works including basic carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, decorating and general repairs., • Identify faults and provide practical repair solutions., • Work safely and in accordance with company health & safety procedures., • Work professionally in occupied properties, including council and government accommodation., • Complete job sheets, photographs and required documentation accurately., • Liaise professionally with tenants, clients and site representatives., • Complete works within agreed timescales and to a high standard., • Travel between different sites as required. Requirements • Previous experience in property maintenance, construction or general building works., • Good practical and problem-solving skills., • Ability to carry out a variety of maintenance tasks., • Good understanding of health and safety., • Reliable, punctual and able to work independently., • Professional manner and good communication skills., • Full UK driving licence is essential., • Relevant trade qualifications or experience are advantageous., • Willingness to travel to sites across Oxfordshire, High Wycombe, Swindon, Slough and surrounding areas.     We’re currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity at The Heyford – we need an experienced and enthusiastic Head Chef for our stylish boutique hotel. As Head chef, you will report to the Hotel General Manager with complete responsibility for all aspects of food production, from sourcing suppliers to delivering customer excellence in the finished dish. You will have full reign when writing all the menus, ensuring these are changed and developed through the seasonal changes and daily where required. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for a team of + 10 chefs As Head Chef, you can look forward to the following: • Basic salary from £45,000.00 -£50,000.00 (Depending on Experience)+ bonus +Benefits (Private Healthcare, Pension), • Opportunity to make your mark and have input from day one, • Work with fresh ingredients and seasonally changing menus, • Achievable Bonus Structure, • Quarterly Bonus The ideal Head Chef will have the following: • Current experience within a busy multi-outlet Hotel operation within the UK, • Background cooking British/European food, • Be able to work a minimum 48 hours a week, • Available to work weekends, evenings and bank holidays if required., • Capable of achieving the 5 Star EHO classification., • Capable of completing food hygiene documents to comply with the law and writing environmental health reports when necessary., • Have a can-do approach, • Demonstrate ideas of how the food offering can be developed and standards improved when being interviewed., • Hold the experience to manage the multi menu requirements and busy hotel operation., • Display the experience of kitchen management to operate a quality, effective and cost-controlled kitchen operation., • Managing inventory and keeping control of stock., • Proven record of team selection and retention that supports the development of excellent standards., • Ability and passion to lead and develop the Brigades skills and to build a strong successful team through training and coaching., • Must have right to work in UK.
