Senior Business Development Manager, Private Equity We're supporting a leading global law firm with a market-leading Private Equity practice in their search for a strategic and results-oriented leader to drive business growth. The Private Equity Group advises PE firms, portfolio companies, and investors across the full investment lifecycle, including complex transactions such as leveraged buyouts, growth equity, M&A, and debt financings. This role partners closely with practice leaders to strengthen existing relationships, capture new opportunities, and expand the firm’s reach, particularly in Europe and Asia, whilst working alongside the US. You will analyse the client base, create strategic growth plans, and execute initiatives that deliver measurable revenue and relationship impact. Managing a small team and working within a wider business unit, you will play a cohesive part in the success and development of their careers. Key Responsibilities • Collaborate with partners to design and implement business development strategies aligned with practice and firm-wide goals., • Build and deepen relationships across the private equity ecosystem., • Monitor market trends and competitive intelligence to identify growth opportunities., • Oversee high-quality marketing and thought-leadership initiatives., • Drive cross-practice collaboration to pursue new client mandates., • Represent the firm at client meetings, industry events, and sponsorships., • Support the integration of lateral hires to maximise client opportunities., • Champion scalable processes, systems, and best practices to sustain growth. About You • 10+ years’ experience in business development, private equity, or client relationship management in a law firm, corporate finance, or professional services environment., • Proven ability to design and deliver revenue-driving growth strategies., • Strong market knowledge, executive presence, and influencing skills., • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects in a matrixed organisation., • Excellent analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills.
