Operations Manager Sheffield £60,000 + benefits Elevation Recruitment are exclusively recruiting for a hands-on Operations Manager to join a global leader in safety products, based at their Sheffield facility. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a newly created role, supporting a passionate local team while being backed by a worldwide engineering business. About the role: As Operations Manager, you’ll lead the Workshop and Production teams overseeing a close-knit group of engineers, production operatives, and team leaders, ensuring high standards of service and production, while driving improvements across processes, systems, and performance. Working alongside the UK Sales Manager and Finance Manager, you’ll form part of the on-site leadership team, reporting into the Managing Director. Key responsibilities of the Operations Manager role include: • Lead and develop the Workshop & Production teams through supportive, hands-on leadership, • Manage a team of Team Leaders and their teams (service engineers, goods in/out, and production operatives), • Ensure excellent customer service, • Monitor performance against KPIs including utilisation, output, and service quality, • Work collaboratively with Sales and Finance to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, • Identify and implement process improvements, balancing a “roll your sleeves up” approach with continuous improvement We’re looking for Operations Managers with the below skills & experience: • Proven experience as an Operations Manager (or similar) in a production, engineering, or service environment, • Strong people leader with a coaching style who is able to support, motivate, and hold teams accountable, • Resilient and adaptable, comfortable in a lean, hands-on environment, • Collaborative and commercially aware, with financial understanding, • Able to work confidently with remote management For further details please contact Emma Bartholomew or Jonny Powell
