Title Restaurant Supervisor Department Restaurant Reports to Restaurant Manager/Assistant Restaurant Manager A non-exhaustive list of the key role responsibilities is detailed below: To provide an efficient and friendly service to customers in all areas of the catering operations Respond efficiently and accurately to customer requests & complaints Coordinate / Manage daily restaurant operations Coordinate and work closely with the kitchen team Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste To fulfil any reasonable request by Restaurant Manager and Assistant Restaurant Manager To report any customer complaints or compliments and take some remedial action if at all possible To report immediately any incidents of accident, fire, theft, loss, damage, unfit food, or other irregularities and take such action as may be appropriate or possible To attend meetings and training courses as may be necessary To maintain the highest standard in managing the team and serving guests Training staff Communicating between other departments in the hotel Having a friendly and interpersonal manner with guests Attending work in a timely manner Preparing mixed drinks for guests and serving on the bar when necessary Abiding by the health and safety legislation and guidelines The candidate must be confident in managing a team during service Support Restaurant Manager with day-to-day running of the restaurants and staff training. Welcoming customers, taking orders, serving food and drinks, offering wine recommendations and setting & clearing tables. Able to manage guest concerns, allergies and complaints in order to maintain a positive restaurant atmosphere Maintain a high standard of customer service at all times. To ensure the restaurant is kept clean and tidy Provide confidentiality at all times. The post holder may be directed by their line manger to carry out other duties and responsibilities in line with his/her post, grade, skills, knowledge and experience. A list of the desired skills, experience, knowledge and personal attributes to ensure individuals are: Knowledge of food safety and health and safety regulations. People management skills. Excellent organisation and communication. Physical fitness for standing throughout a shift. Willingness to work on evenings and weekends.
