Working in partnership with the NHS, Blatchford provides the Prosthetic service In Brighton. We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Prosthetist at our Brighton centre. This is a highly varied role where you will treat a wide range of patients and work in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary clinical team. The role: As a Graduate Prosthetist you will use your clinical skill and experience to contribute to the delivery of a first class Prosthetic Clinical Service. We are seeking a Graduate Prosthetist with broad-based experience who is looking for an opportunity to develop and contribute. Key Responsibilities: • Assessing, measuring, casting, fitting, delivering, reviewing, and adjusting prosthesis as required across a range of amputation levels., • Managing patient expectations, ensuring needs are respected and that the patient is kept fully informed., • Maintaining appropriate clinical notes and records, • Maintaining an up to date Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Portfolio, • Participating in postgraduate training courses arranged by the company or local centre., • Degree qualified in Prosthetics and Orthotics., • HCPC registration, • BAPO or ISPO (desirable)., • Experience in lower limb prosthetics, • Experience in delivering a range of prosthetic clinics., • Experience or have a desire to be involved in audit or service evaluation., • Be able to manage difficult, challenging, and sensitive situations. xrnqpay, • Good judgment and decision-making skills What can we offer you?, • A structured graduate training programme, • In house and external clinical training, • On-going support and one to one mentoring from experienced clinicians, • CPD support to further develop your clinical skills, • Opportunities to dual practice, • Competitive salary, • 25 days holiday increasing with service, • Opportunity to purchase additional holiday, • Contributory pension, • Discounted shopping and leisure activities, • Health cash plan, • Cycle to work scheme
