Term: Full-Time, Permanent \n Location: On-site \n Hours of employment: 08:30 to 16:50, Monday to Friday \n Description of the role: Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Finance Manager to support the Finance Director in leading and developing our finance function. This is a key role, responsible for the day-to-day management of the finance team and ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective controls, and strong commercial support across the business. \n We're looking for a hands-on individual who enjoys developing people, improving processes, solving problems, and helping the business make informed decisions. \n Responsibilities: \n\n • Lead, support, and develop the finance team.\n, • Manage day-to-day finance operations.\n, • Accurate and timely reporting, reconciliations, and ledger management.\n, • Prepare management accounts, forecasts, cash flow reporting, and financial analysis.\n, • Manage debtors, creditors, credit control, and payment processes.\n, • Work with operational teams to improve stock management, margins, and profitability.\n, • Identify and implement process improvements.\n, • Ensure compliance with VAT, HMRC, audit, and statutory reporting requirements.\n, • Support year-end, external audits, and deputise for the FD when required.\n\n Required Skills and Experience: \n\n • Previous experience in a Finance Manager or similar role within an SME manufacturing or production environment.\n, • Experience leading and developing finance teams.\n, • Strong commercial awareness, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills.\n, • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.\n, • Strong Excel skills and experience using financial accounting software, ideally Sage.\n, • Good communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the business.\n, • Experience of process improvement and intercompany accounting.\n\n Desired Experience: \n\n • Knowledge of US accounting requirements would be advantageous.\n\n Qualifications: \n\n • AAT qualified, part-qualified or fully qualified ACCA / CIMA, or equivalent finance experience.\n\n Salary: £45,000 per annum \n Benefits: \n\n • Eligible for a discretionary bonus of up to 10%, linked to agreed KPIs and performance targets\n, • Generous company pension\n, • Minimum 31 days’ holiday (including bank holidays)\n, • Life insurance\n, • Enhanced maternity / paternity\n, • Free onsite parking\n, • Friendly place to work\n, • Long-term service benefits including extra holidays and private medical insurance\n\n About ReAgent Chemical Services Limited \n ReAgent is a family-owned chemical manufacturer and supplier founded in 1977.
