The Position: Project Support Officer This is a Project Support Officer position, working in a transverse role supporting several project managers to support delivery of the HPC Project engineering contract, in accordance with contract terms and conditions and in line with the overall Project schedule. You will be responsible for managing and leading an international team in addition to various aspects of the design and structural analysis of reinforced concrete or steel structures. Key Responsibilities: • Manage and lead an international team responsible for critical buildings within the Nuclear Island., • Design and analyse reinforced concrete structures for the Nuclear Buildings of EPR nuclear power plants., • Perform structural calculations and Finite Element modelling using ANSYS APDL or similar advanced software and tools, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards such as Eurocode, ETC-C., • Ensure the structural integrity and resilience of the reinforced concrete structures under various loads, including seismic, dynamic, impact of temporary works related to the construction sequence, and environmental factors., • Collaborate with the detailing team, including drafting team, BIM Coordinator, and other design engineers, as well as the technical direction team, to ensure coordination and integration of design requirements., • Conduct calculations and structural assessments of design changes to determine the impact on the reinforced concrete structures and propose necessary design modifications., • Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and construction documentation for the reinforced concrete structures., • Conduct structural assessments and evaluations during construction and provide technical support as needed., • Work closely with construction contractors and site teams to resolve any structural issues or challenges during the construction phase., • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and draftsmen involved in the structural design and detailing process., • Collaborate with the client, construction team, and the principal designer as well as regulatory bodies and authorities to ensure compliance with nuclear safety regulations and requirements.
