The Opportunity We are seeking a Tender & Contract Manager to join our Procurement team, supporting the delivery of large-scale renewable energy projects across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a growing portfolio of utility-scale Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and High Voltage (HV) grid connection projects. You will be responsible for leading procurement and commercial activities across the full project lifecycle, from early market engagement and tendering through to contract negotiation and post-award management. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will help ensure robust, commercially sound outcomes that support successful project delivery. This role is well suited to a commercially driven professional with strong experience in tendering and contract management, looking to contribute to the delivery of critical energy infrastructure. What You Will Be Doing • Leading end-to-end tender processes across EPC, balance-of-plant, BESS supply, and HV grid connection packages, • Developing tender strategies, procurement programmes, and evaluation frameworks aligned with project timelines and budgets, • Preparing and managing RFIs, RFQs, ITTs, and EOIs, ensuring a structured and transparent procurement process, • Conducting technical and commercial evaluations, preparing bid comparison reports, and making recommendations to senior stakeholders, • Coordinating supplier pre-qualification processes and maintaining approved supplier registers, • Leading the negotiation and finalisation of EPC, EPCM, and supply contracts, including NEC4, FIDIC, and bespoke agreements, • Negotiating ICP agreements and major HV equipment supply contracts, ensuring alignment with project interfaces, • Working closely with legal teams to review and finalise contracts with appropriate risk allocation and performance protections, • Managing LOIs, framework agreements, and long-term supplier relationships, • Administering contracts post-award, including managing payments, variations, claims, and final accounts, • Monitoring contractor and supplier performance against KPIs and resolving commercial issues where required, • Supporting project teams with change management, programme analysis, and ongoing commercial reporting, • Preparing commercial reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders and project financiers, • Collaborating with Development, Engineering, Finance, Legal, HSE, and Operations teams to support project success, • Contributing to best practice in procurement and contract management across the business, • Supporting supply chain engagement and representing the company at industry events where required What We Are Looking For • Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience), • Approximately 7+ years’ experience in procurement, tendering, or contract management within energy or infrastructure, • Demonstrable experience delivering tenders and contracts for utility-scale Solar PV projects, • Strong experience in BESS procurement and contract management, • Experience working on HV grid connections, including DNO interfaces and substation or cable packages, • Hands-on experience negotiating and administering NEC4 and/or FIDIC contracts, • Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders, • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment, • Strong analytical capability and attention to detail in evaluating bids and managing risk, • Clear and confident communication skills, • Experience in European markets, knowledge of BESS technologies, or familiarity with project finance structures would be beneficial, • Professional membership (RICS, CIPS, CIOB, IET) or working towards is desirable Our Benefits • Competitive salary, depending on experience, • 25 days annual leave, • Health Insurance, • 4% pension contribution (if the employee contributes 4%), • Electric Vehicle Salary Sacrifice Scheme, • Access to a free gym, • Hybrid working (London office presence expected several days per week)
