    CHEF – JOB DESCRIPTION Position: Chef Location: Pub / Hospitality Venue Hours: Full-Time / Part-Time Salary: Competitive – dependent on experience ROLE OVERVIEW We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and experienced Chef to join our team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Prepare, cook and present food consistently to the required standard., • Ensure all dishes are produced according to agreed recipes, specifications and portion controls., • Maintain high standards of food presentation and quality., • Complete food preparation ahead of service and ensure the kitchen is fully prepared for each trading session., • Work efficiently during busy services while maintaining quality and standards., • Ensure all food is stored, labelled, dated and rotated correctly., • Follow FIFO stock rotation procedures., • Complete and maintain all required food safety, temperature and HACCP records., • Maintain excellent standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene., • Ensure equipment, preparation areas, fridges, freezers and storage areas are kept clean and organised., • Assist with deliveries, stock control and stock rotation., • Minimise food waste and help maintain appropriate food margins., • Report maintenance, equipment or food safety issues immediately., • Follow allergen procedures and ensure allergen information is understood and correctly communicated., • Comply with all company policies, health & safety requirements and food hygiene legislation., • Work closely with the General Manager and wider venue team., • Support other kitchen team members when required. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR The ideal candidate will have: • Previous experience working as a Chef within a pub, restaurant or similar hospitality environment., • Strong food preparation and cooking skills., • Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety., • Knowledge of allergens and cross-contamination controls., • Ability to work calmly and efficiently during busy services., • Good organisation and time-management skills., • A positive and professional attitude., • Reliability and excellent attendance., • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team., • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays. What You'll Do: • Deliver a full range of cuts, skin fades, and beard grooming to a consistently high standard, • Build and maintain your own client book through quality work and strong client relationships, • Consult with clients on their desired look and advise on styles suited to their face shape and hair type, • Manage your appointment schedule efficiently to minimise wait times and keep client flow smooth, • Keep your station clean and organised, and sterilise tools and equipment after each use, • Help maintain the shop's atmosphere and reputation, including with walk-in clients What We're Looking For: Required: • At least 2 years' experience working as a barber in a professional shop, with a portfolio showing range across styles, • Strong, consistent skin fade and clipper work, • Confident with beard shaping and hot towel service, • Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working full-time on-site in Bromley, • Friendly, easy manner with clients — this is a relationship business Preferred: • An existing local client base you can bring with you, • NVQ Level 2/3 in Barbering or equivalent qualification, • Experience with modern razor and scissor-over-comb techniques Pay & Hours £130–£150 per day, depending on experience and talent, plus tips (regulars tip well) 5 or 6 days a week Weekdays: 10am–8pm Weekends: 10am–5pm How to Apply • Send your CV, a note about your experience, and — if you have one — a link or photos of your portfolio.
