Company Description Worthing Football Club is an ambitious and forward-thinking club competing in the sixth tier of the English football pyramid. The club is transitioning its business and operations to align with the recent move to full-time football model – setting the foundations for sustained progress further up the pyramid. Role Description We are looking to appoint a commercially driven individual to lead and accelerate revenue and profit growth and operational excellence. This is a rare opportunity for an exceptional, high‑performing commercial operator to step into the highly sought-after sector – either entering football with transferable skills or progressing within the industry. The role will own the club’s commercial engine, operational delivery, supporter engagement and commercial outcomes. Candidate Profile • Proven commercial operator with strong revenue delivery in sport, hospitality, events, leisure or consumer‑facing sectors., • Skilled in delivering operational excellence while driving commercial innovation., • Comfortable using data, analytics and AI tools to optimise financial outcomes., • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, reporting and owning P&L performance., • Effective stakeholder manager able to work with sponsors, partners, supporters and the Fan Advisory Board. Ambitious, able to contribute to club growth strategies. Key Responsibilities Commercial Growth • Drive matchday and non-matchday revenue across sponsorship, partnerships, hospitality, retail, ticketing and events., • Operational Excellence Deliver the “brilliant basics” across matchday operations, stadium management, retail and ticketing. Implement efficient systems, processes and KPIs to support scalable, reliable delivery., • Oversee supplier management, cost control and operational risk. Financial Management • Own the club’s P&L, budgeting, forecasting and KPI reporting. Supporter Engagement • Lead supporter engagement strategy and act as executive sponsor for the Fan Advisory Board., • Ensure supporter insight informs commercial decisions, matchday experience and heritage strategy. Team Leadership • Build and lead a compact, high-performing commercial and operations team. Set clear KPIs, accountability frameworks and delivery standards.
