\n Technician Level 3\n \n Job Description\n Level 3 Technician - Rail - SISS - North East region \n Reporting to the Team Leader the Level 3 Technician will carry out reactive and planned preventative maintenance activities on SISS (Station Information and Security Systems) across our Train Operating Companies contracts. You will be covering mainly the North East region. \n SISS is essential to ensuring the travelling public are correctly informed and safe as they commute across our customer's rail networks, our maintenance service is critical to functioning of these systems \n What youll do:\n \n • Daily reactive maintenance activities across SISS and Telephony systems (CCTV systems, IP Networks, Help Points, Screens, Public Address, CIS, PAVA and WiFi)\n, • Daily, weekly, monthly and annual planned maintenance activities as defined by the Team Leader\n, • Remote monitoring of all systems to identify issues and implement fixes;\n, • Testing and fault finding on equipment, systems and associated infrastructure cabling (copper / fibre)\n, • Knowledge of Communications systems and their applications; Ideally previous SISS\n, • Proven faultfinding skills and experience including the use of suitable test equipment;\n, • Proven IT skills (laptop, Office 365);\n, • Experience of working with SLA driven maintenance contracts.\n, • Good organisational skills, including multitasking and time management\n, • Full UK driving licence\n \n The additional benefits with this role:\n \n, • 34 days holiday, including public holidays, plus the option to buy or sell five days each year\n, • Commercial Vehicle\n, • Company pension scheme\n, • A range of family friendly policies\n, • Occupational health support and wellbeing Portal\n, • Be Inclusive\n, • Take Responsibility\n, • Collaborate\n, • Be Customer-focussed\n \n \n
