Data Migration Lead - Payments Processor London/Hybrid 12 months Outside IR35, Competitive daily rate Why Apply? This is a pivotal contract opportunity to lead end-to-end data migration for a major payment processing platform migration. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of customer and transaction data while driving migration strategies, cutover plans, and reconciliation frameworks. Responsibilities : Lead the design and execution of end-to-end data migration for the cards processor, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and integrity of customer and transaction data. Define migration strategies, data scope, cutover approaches, and reconciliation frameworks for card portfolios, including customers, accounts, cards, transactions, limits, fraud data, and disputes. Plan and execute iterative migration cycles, including mock migrations, rehearsals, and parallel runs, incorporating lessons learned into final cutover. Own data extraction, transformation, migration, and reconciliation between the existing processor and new processor to ensure minimal customer impact. Ensure compliance with bank data governance standards, audit requirements, GDPR, and card-scheme obligations, including full traceability and evidence. Provide transparent reporting on migration readiness, data quality metrics, risks, and go/no-go recommendations to senior stakeholders. Requirements: Extensive experience in large-scale data migration within financial services and payment processing environments. Strong technical knowledge of card processing data, including customer, account, transaction, fraud, and dispute data. Proven experience in designing and executing migration strategies, iterative cycles, and cutover planning. Excellent understanding of data quality, reconciliation, and governance standards, including GDPR compliance. Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior management. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on risk mitigation and operational continuity during migration.
