Are you an experienced training leader with a solid engineering or manufacturing background?\n\nAshley Kate are supporting a respected organisation in this sector to recruit a Customer Training Manager. This a critical role responsible for leading an established team of technical trainers, overseeing training operations, and driving commercial performance.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for someone who combines technical credibility with strong people leadership and commercial awareness.\n\nBased on site. Salary £60k - £70k dependant on experience. \n\nEarly finish on a Friday and excellent benefits package available.\n\nAs the Customer Training Manager, you will take ownership of the end‑to‑end customer training function, ensuring training delivery is technically robust, well‑planned and financially sound.\n\nYou will lead, coach and develop a team of technical training instructors and external training partners.\nManage recruitment, performance, engagement and capability development.\nCreate a supportive, high‑performance culture centred around quality and customer experience.\nOversee the design, development, delivery and certification of technical training courses.\nEnsure all training content is accurate, up-to-date and aligned with engineering/manufacturing requirements.\nManage resource planning, scheduling and training commitments across the function.\nDevelop and maintain training procedures, delivery standards and compliance requirements.\nEstablish and track KPIs to measure training performance, effectiveness and service quality.\nEnsure continuous improvement through feedback, data and operational insight. \n\nA key part of this role is ensuring the training function delivers value and contributes positively to the business. You will:\n\nWork closely with the commercial team on pricing, proposals and commercial agreements.\nManage procurement spend relating to training suppliers, materials, facilities and equipment.\nEnsure accurate cost control and efficient use of resources.\nSupport P&L contribution by monitoring revenue streams, recovery rates and profitability targets.\nEnsure all invoicing and financial processes relating to training activity are completed accurately and on time.\nAct as the point of contact for customer, colleague and supplier feedback.\nMaintain strong relationships across engineering, operations, commercial and service teams.\nChampion an excellent customer training experience and continuously improve training effectiveness. \n\nCustomer Training Manager - About You \n\nWe're looking for a capable leader with a blend of technical, operational and commercial strengths. You will bring:\n\nExperience managing a training team, training organisation or technical training systems.\nBackground in engineering or manufacturing environments absolutely essential.\nProven experience leading people, processes, resource planning and training activity.\nStrong understanding of procurement spend, cost management and commercial decision-making.\nExperience contributing to or managing P&L performance in a training or technical services context.\nA commitment to delivering exceptional quality and customer experience. \n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a technical training department in a true market leader.
