As part of Centrica plc, a global leader in energy and services, you will help businesses become more resilient, reduce costs, and accelerate their transition to a low‑carbon future through innovative energy and decarbonisation solutions. We are seeking an ambitious, commercially driven Senior Business Development Manager to lead the acquisition and development of high‑value private enterprise clients across the Enterprise and Industrial & Commercial sectors. • Own and close complex, multi‑million‑pound energy and decarbonisation deals, • Influence senior decision makers, including C‑suite stakeholders, • Drive significant commercial impact, delivering annual revenues in the region of £12m–£20m, • Build and sustain a forward pipeline of £100m+, • Lead the full sales lifecycle, from opportunity creation through to deal closure, • Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned to key Enterprise and I&C segments, • Build, manage, and convert a strong pipeline of high‑value opportunities, • Apply structured sales methodologies (e.g. Miller Heiman) to win complex deals, • Represent Centrica Business at industry events, strengthening market presence and partnerships, • Provide market insight and competitor intelligence to inform strategy and positioning, • Maintain robust pipeline management and forecasting via Salesforce CRM, • Play a key leadership role across bids, governance, and commercial processes, • Build long‑term, value‑based relationships with key clients and stakeholders, • Vast proven experience in new business development and strategic sales, • Strong background in decarbonisation solutions (solar, CHP, heat pumps, etc.), • Demonstrable success in closing complex, high‑value deals, • Deep understanding of UKI energy markets and Net Zero landscape, • Experience with commercial and financial modelling (IRR, NPV, margin structures), • Knowledge of energy solutions financing models (e.g. PPA, EaaS), • Strategic thinker with a strong commercial mindset, • Excellent stakeholder management – comfortable operating at C‑suite level, • Highly collaborative, able to influence across multiple internal functions, • Data‑driven, with strong pipeline management and forecasting discipline, • Resilient, driven, and outcomes‑focused with a strong “hunter” mentality, • Commercial ambition, • Innovation in energy solutions, • Strong governance and delivery capability, • Clear opportunity for progression and impact, • Excellent One Team mentality driving value and success Our total rewards programme offers flexibility to choose what you need, when you need it, ensuring you and your family are supported financially, physically, and emotionally.
