Project Manager

Contract: Fixed-Term Contract, 24 months Location: Maidenhead, Berkshire (Hybrid – 3 days a week) Change that families will feel. Most transformation programmes change how a business runs. This one changes what happens for a family on the day someone they love has passed. At Life Services Group, we're the UK's leading end-of-life company. We help one in three people across the UK plan for and deal with death, and our mission is to help every family in Britain through the hardest moments of life with simplicity, dignity, kindness and exceptional care. Falconer is our major transformation programme, and the Care and Arranger work sits right at its heart. We need a hands‑on Project Manager to take it from plan to reality, someone who gets into the detail, keeps things moving and makes sure the change lands properly with our teams, not just goes live. You’ll report to the Transformation Director and be the person who turns big outcomes into real progress, week in, week out. • Keep delivery on track. You'll work with workstream leads to turn milestones into clear actions, owners, dates and a shared idea of what "done" looks like. You'll hold the detailed plan yourself, step in where teams need extra capacity or structure, and challenge drift before it turns into delay. Enough process to give control and pace – never so much that it slows people down., • Join the dots. Product, technology, operations, change, training and third parties all have a part to play. You'll spot dependencies and gaps early, chase them down, clear blockers with the team and expedite quickly when a senior call or trade‑off is needed. When decisions change, you'll make sure everyone knows what it means for timing, scope, colleagues and operations., • Make the change stick. Testing, readiness, training, cutover and rollout are built into your plans from day one, not bolted on at the end. You'll pull together readiness evidence from central and operational teams, support pilots and early‑life support, and see issues through to closure. Above all, you'll make sure the people doing the work on the frontline shape how the change is delivered., • Bring people with you. You'll work with everyone from Product, Engineering and QA to Operations, Training, third‑party partners and the Exec. You'll run planning and problem‑solving sessions that end in decisions, not more meetings, and give honest, simple updates on progress, risk and where you need help – even when the route ahead isn't fully clear yet. You're a hands‑on project manager who has seen complex change through to the frontline. You're energetic, practical and organised; you take ownership, and you're happiest when you're making things happen rather than reporting on them. You stay calm under pressure, challenge constructively and don't let ambiguity slow you down. You’ll have: • Hands‑on experience managing complex technology, process or operational change., • A track record of building and running detailed plans and RAID logs yourself., • Delivered across UAT, operational readiness, training, cutover, rollout and early‑life support., • Worked well with agile product and engineering teams while keeping one joined‑up implementation plan., • Strong facilitation, prioritisation and problem‑solving skills, and the confidence to communicate at every level., • Confidence with MS Project, Jira or similar, and a good grasp of both agile and traditional delivery., • The commercial awareness and resilience to own your outcomes. A qualification such as PRINCE2, APM, AgilePM or Scrum would be great, but it's not essential. We care more about what you've delivered. As a key contributor to our business, you’llbenefit from a package that reflects your impact, supports your wellbeing and helps you continue to grow your career with us. • Time to recharge – 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, giving you the space to rest and maintain balance., • Rewarding your impact – Opportunity to earn up to 10% annual bonus, recognising your contribution to business performance., • Healthcare when it matters – Private medical cover for you, offering reassurance and quicker access to treatment., • Planning for your future – 4% matched pension contribution to help build long‑term financial security, • Peace of mind – Life assurance cover at 2x your salary to support your loved ones., • Everyday savings and perks – Access to MyStaffShop, our employee rewards platform, offering savings across high street and online retailers., • Support when you need it – 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme, occupational health services and confidential counselling., • Growing your career – A strong focus on development, progression and building leadership capability across the business., • Additional wellbeing benefits – Including eyecare support, flu jab reimbursement and lifestyle discounts., • Making work easier – Free on‑site parking available at most of our locations. Life Services Group exists to help every family in Britain navigate the hardest moments of life. We bring together trusted names across funeral services, crematoria and cemeteries, legal services, direct cremation and wills, including Dignity Funeral Directors, CMG, Simplicity Cremations, Dignity Legal Services and Farewill, so families can get more of the support they need in one place. Our ambition is to support one in three families across the UK as they plan for, navigate and deal with death. We want to set a new standard for care, service and simplicity across the sector. Death is part of life, and being there for families when it matters is what we do. That means making difficult moments feel more supported, more straightforward and more human. We are building a modern group that supports families at every stage, from planning ahead with wills and funeral plans, to arranging a funeral, cremation or burial, and managing probate afterwards. This is a defining moment for our business. With stronger foundations, clearer strategy and real momentum, we can change end‑of‑life care for the better. We are modernising how we work, investing in our colleagues and technology, and helping more families than any one brand could alone. Wherever you work in Life Services Group, in one of our local teams, specialist brands or group functions, you’ll be part of work with meaningful purpose. You will help families through some of life’s hardest and most important moments. Across all our brands, we want colleagues to grow with us through better training, stronger support, modern tools and clearer opportunities to build skills and confidence. You’ll be part of teams who care deeply about what they do, look out for each other and take pride in doing work that matters. You will also help shape the future of end‑of‑life care. That means making support simpler, more connected and more human for families, while each brand keeps the identity, expertise and community connection people already know and trust. If you want a career with meaningful purpose, room to grow with us and the chance to shape the future, find your Life’s work. Dignity is part of a group that includes FCA‑regulated activities, and some roles may be subject to relevant training, screening, conduct, and regulatory requirements. This will be confirmed as part of the recruitment process. We know that diverse teams make better decisions, build better products, and create a better place to work. Whoever you are, wherever you’re from, and whatever your life looks like, we’d love to hear from you. And if there’s anything you need to make the process more accessible, please let us know Any unsolicited submissions from agencies will be accepted as a direct application from the candidate and no fees will be payable. We reserve the right, depending on application numbers to close or extend the closing dates for positions; we would therefore recommend an early application. #J-18808-Ljbffr
