About theRole We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic-Biased Maintenance Technician to join our workshop team supporting the inspection, maintenance, overhaul, and repair of aircraft ground support equipment (GSE) and associated tooling. This is a hands-on, workshop-based role ideal for a technician with strong hydraulic system experience who enjoys fault finding, strip-downs, rebuilds, and ensuring critical aviation support equipment is maintained to the highest safety standards. Key Responsibilities • Diagnose, fault-find, and repair hydraulic systems on aircraft ground support equipment, • Service and overhaul hydraulic pumps, rams, cylinders, valves, and pipework, • Maintain and repair GSE including:, • Hydraulic test rigs, • Aircraft jacks and lifting equipment, • Towbars and ground handling equipment, • Specialist tooling, • Conduct pressure testing and system performance checks, • Interpret hydraulic schematics and technical manuals, • Complete inspection reports and maintenance documentation, • Ensure compliance with UK safety and quality standards, • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment Essential Skills & Experience • Strong background in hydraulic systems (industrial, plant, or aviation preferred), • Experience in mechanical fault finding and repair, • Ability to read hydraulic and engineering drawings, • Workshop-based maintenance experience, • Good understanding of safe working practices, • Full manual UK driving licence, • Ability to use a tablet to complete maintenance report write ups, • Must be able to gain an airport pass – therefore clean personal record and ability to show previous work/educational history up to 5 years prior with references.
