Head of Financial Insights and Business Partnering Department: Finance & Procurement Salary: Starting from £63,225, rising to £72,468 including a market supplement of £5,000 Closing date: Thursday 11 September 2025 We are seeking to appoint a Head of Financial Insights and Business Partnering to lead the Management Information Section (MIS) finance team. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality finance business partnering, budgeting, forecasting, and management accounting services across the Universitys academic, professional services, and research support functions. You will work closely with colleagues across the wider University and the Finance department to provide insightful financial support, drive process improvements, and influence decision-making at senior levels. As the University transitions to a cloud-based accounting system, you will play a key role in guiding the team through changes to financial processes, systems, and reporting, working collaboratively with the programme team to support a smooth and effective implementation. In addition to these core responsibilities, you will contribute to strategic projects and support the development of new initiatives and practices in response to both internal priorities and external developments. This position benefits from a hybrid working pattern. You'll be based at the Virgil Building in Baths city centre with the option to work from home up to 3 days per week, with flexibility around on-campus meetings and other role requirements. The team operates flexibly, with regular meetings held both at the Virgil Building and the Universitys Claverton Down campus. This post includes a market supplement of £5,000 which has been added into the advertised salary scale.
