We are seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to oversee the delivery of building services projects within a live facilities management environment. This role will suit a technically strong, client-facing professional with a background in managing mechanical, electrical, and public health (MEP) installations, refurbishments, and upgrade works across commercial, corporate, or critical environments. You will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and commercially successful delivery of multiple minor to medium-sized projects — typically including plant replacements, system upgrades, energy efficiency works, and refurbishments — ensuring minimal disruption to building operations. Key Responsibilities: Project Management & Delivery • Manage the end-to-end delivery of MEP projects within occupied buildings and operational facilities., • Scope, plan, and execute works — ensuring programme, quality, and cost targets are achieved., • Coordinate closely with FM teams, building users, and subcontractors to ensure minimal disruption to day-to-day operations., • Manage all site activities, including supervision, progress reporting, and handover documentation., • Ensure commissioning and post-project review processes are completed to a high standard. Commercial & Financial Control • Take full ownership of project budgets, ensuring accurate cost forecasting and financial reporting., • Review quotations, variations, and subcontractor accounts., • Identify and deliver value engineering opportunities., • Support business growth through repeat work and client satisfaction. Technical & Quality Management • Review and approve technical documentation, drawings, and method statements., • Ensure installations comply with statutory requirements, design standards, and client specifications., • Oversee testing, commissioning, and system integration into the existing building infrastructure., • Drive high standards of workmanship, safety, and compliance throughout all phases of delivery. Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance • Champion health and safety across all projects, ensuring adherence to company and client HSEQ policies., • Lead by example, conducting site audits and promoting safe working practices. Client & Stakeholder Engagement • Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and project transparency., • Build strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders, consultants, and supply chain partners., • Manage client expectations and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. Skills & Experience Required: • Proven experience delivering MEP or building services projects within a facilities management or building engineering environment., • Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, and public health systems in operational buildings., • Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, and manage multiple concurrent projects., • Excellent commercial awareness and experience managing budgets up to £[insert typical value]., • Familiarity with CDM Regulations and health & safety compliance in live environments., • Competent in project management software (MS Project, Excel, etc.). Qualifications: • Degree or HND in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)., • SMSTS / SSSTS and CSCS certifications preferred., • IOSH / NEBOSH certification desirable., • Membership of CIBSE, IET, or similar professional body advantageous.
