Duties and Responsibility: · Prepare and cook a range of Indian dishes including the curries, street food, quick bites/ starters, biriyani as set out in the restaurant menu.
· Prepare special dishes for special occasions.
· Prepare delicious, hygienic and healthy food according to the business principles of the Restaurant.
· Maintain the taste & quality of dishes which are prepared on a daily basis to ensure regular customers are satisfied.
· Demonstrate knowledge of all recipes, standards, portion sizes of various curries produced in the kitchen.
· Demonstrate a thorough understanding of traditional Indian curries.
· To carry out month-end food stock taking.
· Ensure food prepared is of the highest possible standards.
· Controlling portion sizes in accordance with food specifications.
· Dealing with food complaints efficiently.
· Check that all food safety regulations and procedures are fully complied with. ** Skills and Experience:** · Strong culinary skills with a passion for creating exceptional dishes
· Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen
· Ability to lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff
· Excellent organisational and time management skills
· Demonstrated leadership qualities in a fast-paced environment
