Candidates who do not yet hold the qualification but have relevant residential childcare experience and are willing to work towards the qualification may also be considered., • Experience working with children and young people in a residential care setting., • Experience leading shifts, supporting colleagues and promoting positive outcomes for children., • Strong safeguarding knowledge and the ability to manage challenging situations professionally., • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills., • Ability to remain calm, resilient and solution-focused under pressure., • Strong record keeping and IT skills., • A child centred, compassionate and proactive approach to care., • Understanding of trauma-informed practice and relationship-based care., • Full UK driving licence preferred.
