TQR are working exclusively with a global Manufacturer based at their Plymouth site to recruit an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer on static night shift due to a vast increase in their order book. Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, the successful candidate will play a critical hands‑on role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all machinery on site. The position is responsible for both reactive and planned maintenance, first‑fix repairs, and accurate CMMS documentation. Working closely with the Maintenance Team Leader & Production Team Leaders, the successful candidate will contribute to asset uptime, quality performance, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Safety & Compliance: • Complete all maintenance tasks in line with site safety procedures, risk assessments, permit‑to‑work policies and legal requirements., • Perform dynamic risk assessments prior to each job; escalate hazards where required., • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns across manufacturing and site services, ensuring permanent and robust fixes., • Communicate findings, actions taken, and follow‑up needs to the Maintenance Team Leader., • Execute PPM tasks as scheduled, ensuring quality completion within timeframes., • Identify and report defects, trends, or improvement needs during PPM routines., • Accurately record defect details, actions taken, fault codes, and parts used., • Ensure data quality is suitable for analysis by the Engineering team., • Apply strong electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills to diagnose complex issues., • Provide technical support for installation, commissioning, and acceptance testing (FAT) of new equipment., • Work with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to ensure efficient factory operation., • Communicate issues, progress, and solutions through formal and informal meetings., • Lead on electrical diagnostics and permanent fault resolution across injection moulding machinery, drives, safety circuits, and ancillary equipment., • Support electrical installations and carry out fault‑finding on electrical facility systems, ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable operation of site services and building infrastructure.
