Job Description Accounting Specialist Location: White Bear Lake, MN Schedule: Fully Onsite Pay: $25-$30/hour (DOE) Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire Start Date: ASAP About the Role We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Specialist with strong, hands-on Accounts Receivable experience. This role is fast-paced, highly transactional, and requires someone who thrives in a digital, paperless environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent accuracy, strong time-management skills, and the ability to handle high-volume workloads while maintaining exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities • Perform daily Accounts Receivable processing, including reviewing, responding to, and resolving 100+ AR emails per day, • Support Accounts Payable by reviewing, entering, and processing 400+ invoices per week plus 100+ AP emails daily, • Investigate and reconcile differences on customer and vendor accounts, • Work efficiently in a paperless, digital accounting environment, • Manage daily tasks using Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Office tools, • Utilize keyboard shortcuts and efficient navigation to optimize workflow, • Provide exceptional customer service via email and phone, • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve issues and support shared processes, • Maintain strict accuracy and attention to detail in all transactional work, • Support general accounting tasks and understand accounting concepts at a foundational level, • Prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Required Skills & Qualifications, • Minimum 12,000 KPH typing speed (typing assessment required prior to interview), • Strong, hands-on experience in Accounts Receivable (required), • Prior accounting experience with a solid understanding of general accounting principles, • Ability to handle high-volume transactional workloads, • Experience working entirely in a digital/paperless workflow, • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through, • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and general office software, • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, or NetSuite, • Excellent time-management skills and ability to prioritize under tight timelines, • Strong communication skills-professional, clear, and customer-focused, • Reliable, consistent in meeting deadlines, and self-motivated, • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new processes and tools, • Comfortable with repetitive, transactional accounting tasks Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
