Job DescriptionJob Title: Accounts Receivable/Cash Applications Location: Florham Park, NJ (100% on-site) Type: 4-month contract assignment Compensation: $27.00 - $30.00/hour Summary: LHH is working with an established professional services firm in Florham Park, NJ in their search for an Accounts Receivable / Cash Applications Specialist for a 4-month contract assignment covering a maternity leave. This role offers a stable, family-oriented environment with a collaborative team culture. Position Details * Location: Florham Park, NJ (on-site 5 days per week during training, then hybrid with 3 days on-site). * Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. * Reports To: Accounting Manager. * Duration: 4 months (maternity leave coverage). Responsibilities * Process daily cash receipts including checks, wires, and ACH payments. * Enter and apply payments to client invoices within the accounting system. * Maintain daily spreadsheets and prepare end-of-day cash reports for firm leadership. * Review and reconcile American Express statements on a monthly basis. * Support ad hoc accounting tasks with a focus on accuracy and timeliness. Requirements * Prior accounts receivable or cash applications experience preferred. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. * Proficiency with Excel and ability to update daily spreadsheets. * Experience with Elite 3E or similar accounting software is a plus. * Ability to work independently and handle confidential financial information.
