Job Description Job Title: Industrial Facilities Electrician Shift: 1st or 2nd Pay: $34 Job Description We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team. This position involves working on both 1st and 2nd shifts, with a focus on installing and maintaining electrical systems for industrial machinery and building equipment. This role offers a contract-to-hire opportunity. Responsibilities • Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and building equipment., • Connect power supply wire to machines and building equipment, and connect cables and wires between machines and equipment., • Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, motor starters, MCC panels, MCC circuits, variable frequency drives, and lighting fixtures, and replace damaged or broken wires and cables., • Maintain a 3 phase 480/277 VAC, Phase 120/208 VAC, and 120/240 VAC environment., • Maintain Data Center electrical service for computer equipment., • Maintain all electrical distribution systems within the facility., • Repair or replace faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, motors, and position sensing devices., • Replace faulty electronic components such as printed circuit boards., • Maintain building lighting, task lighting on furniture systems, parking lot lighting, lighting contactors, and emergency lights/exit lights., • Plan layout of wiring and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings., • Perform preventative maintenance on all electrical utilities and equipment., • Attend classes and seminars on electrical components, distribution, and system design to update skills., • Complete accurate and timely paperwork related to essential duties and responsibilities., • Maintain, organize, and control inventory supplies, tools, and equipment., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics., • Experience with 480v electrical systems., • Proficiency in shop math., • Completion of an Apprenticeship program and ten or more years of related experience and training, or equivalent combination of education and experience with Journeyman status., • Basic skills for Variable frequency drives., • Proficient in using voltmeters, amp meters, ohm meters, Meggers, and amp probes., • Must have a valid driver's license., • Forklift certification is preferred. The role involves maintaining various electrical systems and equipment, including those in a Data Center environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Akron, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $64480.00 - $70720.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
