Job Description Job Description An established engineering and design-build organization is seeking an experienced Structural Engineering Department Manager to lead complex industrial projects and guide a team of structural professionals. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a licensed Structural Engineer who is motivated to mentor others, shape departmental strategy, and ensure technical excellence across industrial facilities. This is not a civil engineering role. Only candidates with industrial structural engineering experience will be considered. Position Overview: Structural Engineering Department Manager The Structural Engineering Department Manager serves as both a technical leader and people manager. This role functions as the senior structural engineer on multidisciplinary industrial projects while overseeing departmental operations, staff development, and quality control. The position plays a highly visible role within the organization, supporting operational performance, mentoring engineering staff, and ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality structural solutions for industrial clients. The organizations work focuses exclusively on industrial facilities, including manufacturing, chemical, petrochemical, polymer, and process-based environments. Residential, commercial, and retail structural engineering are not performed. This is a hybrid role requiring regular in-office presence (minimum three days per week). Fully remote arrangements are not available.
