With multiple parks open and more on the way, we are building a world-class team to support new park openings and deliver community-first marketing that drives strong attendance and party bookings from day one. Were seeking a New Park Opening (NPO) Marketing Coordinator to join our team (similar to a New Store Opening (NSO) Marketing Coordinator. This person will play a key role in ensuring successful launches for each new Lava Island location through coordinated grassroots marketing, local partnerships, and community engagement. Role Overview The NPO Marketing Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing marketing initiatives that drive attendance, awareness, and birthday party bookings during the critical first 90 days of a new parks launch. This role works closely with the Operations team, General Managers, and external partners to ensure each opening is well-branded, community-connected, and supported by high-quality marketing campaigns and events. Key Responsibilities New Park Opening (NPO) Marketing Execution • Manage grand opening and soft opening marketing plans, ensuring all events are well-coordinated and deliver strong community impact., • Coordinate with Operations and the NPO team to execute opening-weekend promotions, dcor, and in-park activations., • Manage pre-opening signage, including Coming Soon banners, window wraps, and teaser collateral to build anticipation in local markets., • Oversee on-site branding and signage installation, ensuring consistency with Lava Island brand standards., • Organize and deploy community days, ribbon-cuttings, and special events in partnership with local leaders and organizations., • Implement and maintain Google and Apple business pages. Local Store Marketing (LSM) & Community Engagement • Build and maintain partnerships with schools, youth organizations, and community groups to drive trial visits and party bookings., • Coordinate flyer distribution, field trip promotions, and local advertising placements (radio, print, and digital community channels)., • Develop and manage cross-promotions with local businesses (restaurants, gyms, rec centers, etc.)., • Track and report ROI on all LSM activities, providing insights to improve future launches. Collateral & Campaign Coordination • Collaborate with the graphic design contractor to produce high-quality marketing materials (flyers, signage, menus, banners, digital assets)., • Work closely with the digital marketing contractor and consultant to align local marketing with broader brand campaigns., • Ensure timely delivery and installation of all marketing materials at new parks. Guest & Brand Experience • Support in-park promotions (contests, giveaways, themed events) to enhance the guest experience during the launch period., • Act as a brand ambassador on-site, ensuring the Lava Island brand voice is consistent across all guest touchpoints., • Gather feedback from guests and local communities to continuously refine the opening playbook. Data & Reporting • Track and report on key opening metrics, including:, • Customer attendance in the first 90 days, • Birthday party bookings in the first 90 days, • Maintain a repeatable NPO playbook that evolves with each new opening. Qualifications • 25 years of experience in marketing, event coordination, or community engagement (multi-location retail, FEC, hospitality, or franchise experience a plus)., • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple openings and deadlines., • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills comfortable engaging with community partners, schools, and local organizations., • Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach to grassroots marketing and event execution., • Creative thinker with strong attention to detail and brand consistency., • Proficiency with marketing tools (Google Suite, Canva/Adobe Creative Suite, social media platforms).
