As a Pastry Cook, you will play a vital role in creating exquisite desserts and pastries that delight our discerning guests. Responsibilities: • Assist the Executive Pastry Chef in preparing a variety of breads, desserts, and pastries according to established recipes and portion control standards., • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the preparation area, including proper storage and labeling of ingredients, and regular cleaning of equipment and work surfaces., • Support in receiving and inspecting deliveries to ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients, promptly reporting any issues or discrepancies., • Adhere strictly to food safety and sanitation regulations, including the proper handling of perishable items, temperature control, and safe storage of food products., • Follow standard operating procedures and kitchen guidelines meticulously to uphold consistency and quality in food preparation., • Demonstrate a strong, upbeat, and positive personality while embodying a commitment to high standards with impeccable attention to detail., • Exhibit a genuine passion for food, beverage, and hospitality, contributing to a vibrant and dynamic culinary team environment., • Thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, showcasing the ability to multitask effectively while maintaining composure and professionalism., • Embrace a team-oriented mentality, fostering collaboration and camaraderie among colleagues to achieve collective success., • Demonstrate unwavering dependability and reliability, consistently delivering exceptional performance and service excellence. Required Experience: • Previous experience as a pastry cook or baker in a fine dining restaurant, hotel, or pastry shop preferred., • Formal culinary training or certification in pastry arts or baking preferred., • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, including mixing, baking, decorating, and plating., • Creativity and artistic flair, with a passion for creating visually stunning and delicious pastry creations., • Attention to detail and precision in pastry production and presentation., • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment., • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the demands of the business., • Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety. Job Description As a critical element to successful new strategy implementation, Passion for Life, Inc. is looking for a creative Graphic Designer to join our growing marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity to help us build our brand identity, as well as support various marketing initiatives. We are seeking self-motivated volunteers who will be key contributors to the Passion for Life, Inc. marketing team. this position will report to the Marketing team leader. While the position is unpaid, you will gain valuable hands-on experience. The Graphics designer will be responsible for all aspects of our organization's design process, from advertising, digital design, illustration, or branding. A Graphic designers that will use their artistic abilities to communicate ideas, inform consumers, and solve problems. From the layout of a website to large images seen on billboards, graphic designers create visual concepts by hand or by computer to help others interpret the world around them through color, texture, images, and symbols. Responsibilities: * Create and design various materials for print and digital collateral * Business development presentations * Ensure projects are completed with high quality and on schedule * Establish creative direction for the company as well as brand guidelines * Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions * Perform retouching and manipulation of images * Work with a wide range of media and use graphic design software Qualifications Qualifications: * Associate's degree or equivalent in graphic arts, design, communications, or related field * 2-5 years of experience in graphic design * Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and the web * Familiarity with HTML and CSS preferred * Knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, Sketch, InDesign, and other graphic design software * Compelling portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects * Strong analytical skills * Excellent eye for detail Additional Information Time Commitment: 9-10 hours a week including monthly meetings and weekly conference calls
