Job Description SUMMARY Without the strength of our engineer team, we would not be able to offer the industry-leading service we’re known for. We’re seeking an experienced Test Technician to work in the engineering department. The ideal candidate will have proven industry experience as a Test Technician. Karman is looking for an energetic and team-oriented individual with excellent communication skills who will be responsible for ensuring the quality of products and equipment. As a test technician, you will be required to perform daily functions such as inspecting critical hardware and processes, conducting/ monitoring active tests, collecting required data, and analyzing for conformance to required specifications. Ideally, the candidate should have impressive problem-solving skills and be able to properly diagnose, troubleshoot, and report problems that arise with any specific product or equipment. The test technician will work under the direct supervision of the engineering manager and work closely with other department team members as required. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Medical, Dental, Vision, • Company Paid Life Insurance, • 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, • Paid Time Off (PTO), • Paid Holidays, • Tuition Reimbursement* ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Inspect components and verify conformance to engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications, • Set up and execute acceptance tests in accordance with approved procedures, ensuring safe methods and properly calibrated equipment, • Record and analyze test data to assess product performance, identify out-of-family conditions, and recommend process improvements, • Read and interpret technical documentation, including drawings, tool manuals, safety rules, and procedure manuals, • Maintain required test equipment calibrations and ensure adherence to quality and compliance standards., • Use Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to collect, organize, and present test data., • Exercise good judgment in prioritizing assigned tasks according to the daily schedule, with support from senior engineering when required, • Collaborate effectively with engineers and other departments and serve as an inspector when required., • Maintain confidentiality of business information and perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisor EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE • High school diploma or GED; 2+ years of relevant experience preferred., • Strong mechanical aptitude with proficiency in common hand and power tools., • Computer literacy, with experience using test and measurement equipment a plus., • Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and hoists (or willingness to be certified)., • Basic understanding of engineering and physics principles., • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with high attention to detail., • Effective verbal and written communication skills; able to clearly define and convey issues., • Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when required., • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or otherwise legally recognized as a U.S. Person).
