Job DescriptionDescription: We are looking for passionate and energetic individuals to join our team as Teacher Assistants for our Pre-K Classroom the 2025-2026 school year. STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt LOCATION: Mamaroneck Central Elementary School in Larchmont, NY PAY: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour HOURS: 9:00 am - 3:30 pm SCHEDULE: 10 months (aligned to district calendar) Featured Benefit: Employer-Paid Childcare Healthy Kids Programs provides childcare for school-age children (ages 5–13) enrolled in program on the days and during the hours you work. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Applicants should possess motivation and creativity, demonstrate a positive demonstration of strong interpersonal communication skills, be active in working within a team, and consistently demonstrate punctuality and attendance., • Develop respectful relationships with the children, families, and UPK team members to ensure a caring and welcoming environment for children., • Assist in establishing and maintaining an environment for children that is clean, safe, stimulating, and appropriate for each child’s developmental level., • Must be a flexible team player and can work well with others., • Assume the role of leadership in the absence of the Lead Teacher, • Interact with the children in accordance with the developmentally appropriate practices., • Ability to manage the classroom through positive redirection, problem-solving, setting appropriate limits, and active listening, • Support Lead Teacher in the development and implementation of lesson plans., • High school diploma or GED required., • An associate's degree in education or a related field is preferred., • Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)., • Classroom management: 1 year (Preferred)., • Teaching: 1 year (Preferred). PHYSICAL DEMANDS: • Lifting and carrying children., • Close contact with children., • Direct supervision of children., • Assisting children with toileting and hand washing., • Must have the stamina and physical flexibility (walking, sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, pulling, running, reaching, climbing, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs.) without assistance to participate in children’s activities.
