The Opportunity We are hiring a Construction Project Manager to own project execution from contract through certificate of occupancy and warranty. This role is the execution lead for assigned projects—responsible for delivering work exactly as contracted, on schedule, on budget, and to defined quality standards. You will coordinate trades, manage schedules, enforce scope, and lead client communication while maintaining clean documentation and disciplined project control. This is not a labor role. You will direct and enforce work performed by subcontractors, with site presence focused on quality control, coordination, and issue resolution—not self-performing trades. What You’ll Own Project Execution & Ownership • Own end-to-end project delivery from contract through warranty, • Act as the firm’s delegated General Contractor on assigned projects, • Enforce scope, schedule, budget, and quality without escalation, • Select, manage, and replace subcontractors in line with firm standards, • Ensure permits are obtained, tracked, inspected, and closed properly, • Maintain full accountability for jobsite readiness, progress, and outcomes, • Identify and resolve field issues in real time through direct coordination Planning, Scheduling & Multi-Project Management • Build and manage detailed schedules across multiple active projects, • Sequence trades, materials, and inspections to maintain momentum, • Ensure materials are ordered and on-site when needed, • Balance competing priorities while maintaining delivery standards JobTread System Ownership • Enforce JobTread as the system of record across all projects, • Maintain accurate budgets, scopes, selections, and documentation, • Convert approved bids into purchase orders and manage invoice alignment, • Administer change orders in strict accordance with contract terms Trade & Vendor Management • Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers across all phases, • Hold trades accountable to scope, schedule, and quality expectations, • Conduct regular site meetings to align scope and resolve issues, • Track performance, manage punch lists, and document outcomes Client Communication • Own all client communication during construction, • Lead walkthroughs, milestone meetings, and decision checkpoints, • Maintain clear, professional, and proactive communication throughout delivery Quality Control, Close-Out & Warranty • Execute quality control processes and punch list completion, • Secure inspections and certificates of occupancy without last-minute issues, • Deliver complete close-out documentation, • Manage warranty items and capture lessons learned for future improvement What Success Looks Like • Projects are delivered on scope, on schedule, and on budget, • JobTread is fully accurate and up to date at all times, • Trades are coordinated, prepared, and accountable, • Clients experience consistent, professional communication, • Change orders are clean, controlled, and properly documented, • Projects reach CO without scramble, • Warranty is handled promptly and systematically Qualifications • Proven ability to manage scope, schedule, and budget simultaneously, • Strong understanding of permitting, inspections, and trade sequencing, • Experience with construction management software (JobTread preferred), • Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Background • Custom homes, spec homes, or light commercial project experience, • Familiarity with local permitting authorities (AHJs) and trade networks, • Experience with job costing and lender-facing documentation, • Structured, process-driven approach to post-project review and improvement Compensation & Benefits • Competitive salary based on experience and ownership level, • 2 weeks PTO + 6 paid holidays, • Paid company-wide winter break, • Company-provided computer or tablet Operating Environment • In-office, Monday–Friday with regular site walks, • High-trust, high-accountability culture, • Full ownership of assigned projects, • Direct exposure to company leadership How to Apply Send your resume to Subject: Construction Project Manager Include a brief note (2–3 sentences) on why this role aligns with your experience.
