Brief Description of Duties • Teaches the basic principles and concepts of vocational skills to students., • Maintains a high degree of discipline within classroom setting in order to ensure maximum learning., • Works with academic instructors in coordinating curriculum development and delivering applied academics., • Uses all possible curricular resources available on Center., • Ensures adequate classroom preparation., • Works towards meeting performance management goals established by the company and the National Director of Job Corps via OMS and CTT Report Cards, • Provide instruction and remedial training support that will enable students to overcome barriers in obtaining industry certifications or participating in Advanced, • Training (AT) or Advanced Career Training (ACT)., • Ensures proper maintenance of student personal folders, recording personal data, including test scores, evaluations, attendance, incident reports, achievement awards and any other pertinent information concerning students., • Records and forwards daily attendance to the Records Department., • Assists in the completion of students' resume., • Provide contextual learning opportunities for students to improve academic skills in the CTT learning environment., • Works closely with the Center Director's designee for disability issues to ensure that students with disabilities who are interested assigned trade is provided reasonable accommodations/modifications, if needed, to perform the trade-related skills required by the Training Achievement Records (TARs), • Ensures students are taught the importance of attaining and applying the career success and applied academic standards listed in each TAR., • Updates eTARs at on a weekly basis to credit student skill attainment, • Tailors instructional methods and expected rates of progress to the learning styles, abilities, and career goals of individual students., • Complies with all state regulations related to testing and certification., • Intervene and correct inappropriate student behavior and nonperformance, • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel., • Computer literacy with basic computer functions, email, internet, and basic programs such as Adobe Acrobat., • Ability to perform the major duties in the trade of instruction and current knowledge of subject area., • High level of communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills. Certificates/Licenses/Registration • Certified, licensed, or accredited in the state in which the Center is located or is accredited by a professional trade organization., • For NTC, instructor must be certified by union or trade organization, or by a national trade certifying organization. Job Description Transportation Driver Reports to: Facilities Manager Classification: Non‑Exempt Position Summary The Transportation Driver provides safe, reliable daily transportation services for residents. Responsibilities include conducting vehicle inspections, preparing vehicles for travel, and ensuring scheduled maintenance is completed and documented. Essential Job Duties This position is classified as Safety Sensitive. The essential functions, physical demands, and mental competencies require the employee to maintain the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and perform duties safely. • Operates assigned vehicles safely and courteously in compliance with all applicable laws., • Assists residents entering and exiting the vehicle; operates ramps, lifts, and securement devices as needed., • Reads and interprets maps, directions, and road signage to plan efficient routes., • Maintains cleanliness of both the interior and exterior of assigned vehicles., • Maintains accurate, up‑to‑date records including maintenance logs, fuel purchases, incident and accident reports, and vehicle condition reports., • Coordinates with the Maintenance Department to schedule major or periodic vehicle maintenance to minimize service interruptions., • Fuels assigned vehicles as required., • Responds promptly to accidents or medical emergencies by contacting emergency services and providing First Aid until help arrives., • High school diploma or GED preferred., • Knowledge of vehicle operations and features preferred., • Ability to identify maintenance needs and perform minor vehicle repairs preferred., • Current, valid driver’s license required., • Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace., • May require constant standing, walking, and repetitive motions; frequent bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling; and occasional carrying., • Must be able to coordinate eyes, hands, fingers, and feet in response to visual stimuli., • Must frequently lift or move objects—and assist residents—exceeding 50 pounds.
