American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 02/16/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of an acute care hospital, • Level 3 Trauma Center, • Patient ratios are typically 1:2, with occasional 1:3 assignments, • Staff will float to Med Surg (1:5 ratio) or ER as needed based on census, • Common procedures include central line and ART line setup and management, basic dysrhythmia care, CRRT, cardiac surgery, vent management, and hemodynamic monitoring, • Experience with Epic EHR is required and utilized on this unit, • Day and night 12-hour shifts are available, with a requirement to work at least 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week period, • No on-call responsibilities, • Scrub color varies by unit, • Responsibilities include managing critically ill patients requiring advanced monitoring, cardiac and respiratory support, and multiple drips, • Must float within scope to Med Surg or ER as needed, • Zero-fault attendance policy: missed shifts may result in warning or contract cancellation, • A maximum of 5 days requested time off is allowed in a 13-week assignment, with no holiday RTO permitted, • No block scheduling or special scheduling requests are accommodated, • Both local and travel candidates are accepted, • Free parking is available on site, • Assigned online modules are required pre-start and average 3-4 hours to complete\n \n Requirements\n, • Active Oklahoma or Compact RN license required at the time of submission, • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required, • Minimum of one successful travel assignment required; no first-time travelers accepted, • Epic charting experience is a hard requirement and must be recent, • At least 3 years of hospital acute care experience preferred, • Experience in ICU procedures such as vent management, managing drips, central/ART line care, and basic dysrhythmia recognition required, • No past attendance, performance, or background issues, • Modules must be completed before start date\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
