Job DescriptionJob Title: Assembler Job Description The Assembler plays a key role in building high-quality light fixtures used in museums, hotels, and VIP residences. In this role, you assemble and install components using hand tools and power tools, follow detailed work instructions and blueprints, and help ensure that every product meets strict quality and safety standards. You work at a dedicated bench within a small team, completing multiple steps on each product before passing it along the assembly line. Responsibilities • Assemble and install parts using hand tools, air tools, and power tools according to work instructions and specifications., • Fit, wire, and connect components using appropriate equipment while following detailed work instructions and specifications., • Attend to production equipment to ensure proper operation and participate in basic equipment and facility maintenance activities., • Perform routine inspections on products, processes, and materials to verify that work output meets factory floor documentation and specifications., • Identify potentially unsafe situations or conditions and either correct them or promptly notify the Production Group Lead, recommending corrective measures, actions, or special equipment as needed., • Assemble light fixtures for a variety of clients, including museums, hotels, and high-end residential properties, maintaining consistent quality and attention to detail., • Work at a designated bench with a team of approximately three other assemblers, completing 5–10 assembly steps on each product before passing it to the next team member., • Follow written work instructions and blueprints accurately to assemble different product variations each day., • Coordinate with warehouse staff by ensuring finished products are properly placed on pallets for wrapping, storage, and shipment., • Complete assessment testing as directed by the Production Group Lead to validate skills and readiness for assigned tasks., • Maintain excellent attendance, a positive attitude, and reliable work habits to support consistent production flow., • Demonstrate flexibility by moving to different areas of the facility as needed and assisting wherever help is required., • Use hand tools such as calipers and micrometers to measure and verify components and assemblies., • Adhere to all safety, quality, and production standards while working on an automotive-style assembly line., • Engage in repetitive hand and finger movements and maintain focus on detailed tasks throughout the shift.Essential Skills, • At least 1 year of assembly experience in a production or manufacturing environment., • Experience using hand tools such as calipers and micrometers for measurement and verification., • Ability to assemble products using blueprints or detailed written work instructions., • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with manufacturing and production equipment., • Ability to read, speak, and write English to understand work instructions, safety information, and documentation., • High School Diploma or GED., • Capability to complete assessment testing administered by the Production Group Lead., • Ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, twist/turn, kneel, squat, crawl, and reach outward or above the shoulder for up to 10 hours per shift., • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 15–45 pounds on a regular basis., • Repetitive use of hands and fingers for assembly tasks., • Adequate depth perception and ability to distinguish basic colors and shades of color., • Consistent attendance, positive attitude, and strong work history.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience with heavy assembly work on automotive lines or similar production environments., • Comfort working in a team-based assembly line with multiple workstations., • Willingness to be trained on various products and processes and to move between departments as needed., • Ability to follow detailed factory floor paperwork and quality standards., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety., • Interest in long-term growth within a manufacturing environment.Why Work Here? Work Environment The work takes place in a climate-controlled industrial environment that remains comfortable in both winter and summer. You work at one of approximately ten workstations arranged in an assembly line with three to four team members, within a medium-sized, fully enclosed warehouse except for two open shipping and receiving doors on the far side of the floor. The facility is clean, organized, and described as a beautiful work environment. You stand for 100% of the shift and perform repetitive assembly tasks using hand tools and power tools. The standard schedule is first shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The dress code consists of a plain black t-shirt (provided after the first few weeks), jeans in blue, khaki, or black, and tennis shoes. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.50/hr.
