Role Profile: This is a full-time, on-site role as an Accounting Analyst II (AA II) in our Austin, TX, location. The Accounting Analyst II (AA II) serves as a key contributor within the Account Administration team and is responsible for independently preparing, reviewing, and managing account administration deliverables for special financing districts throughout Texas. This role serves as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients, ensuring deliverables are completed accurately, stakeholder needs are addressed promptly, and projects move forward efficiently. In addition to managing their own workload, the Accounting Analyst II serves as a quality reviewer and mentor for junior team members, helping maintain the high standards of service and accuracy expected by P3Works. The ideal candidate combines strong accounting and analytical skills with exceptional organization, communication, and client service capabilities. They are proactive, detail-oriented, and motivated to continuously improve processes while supporting the success of the broader team. Account Administration and Financial Reporting: • Independently prepare and manage account administration deliverables, including Service and Assessment Plan (SAP) updates, Annual Issuer Reports (AIRs), Quarterly Developer Disclosures, Draw Requests, Debt Service transfers, Bond Fund reports, and other assigned deliverables., • Review financial information, supporting documentation, and calculations to ensure accuracy and completeness., • Perform detailed quality reviews of reports and work products before final delivery., • Maintain a high standard of accuracy, consistency, and professionalism across all deliverables., • Support special projects and account administration initiatives as assigned. Client and Stakeholder Management • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients and stakeholders., • Respond to client inquiries and requests in a timely, professional, and solutions-oriented manner., • Build trusted relationships through responsiveness, accountability, and exceptional client service., • Coordinate information requests and communicate updates regarding project status and deliverables., • Escalate issues, risks, or concerns to management when appropriate. Quality Assurance and Peer Review • Serve as a "second set of eyes" by reviewing deliverables prepared by Accounting Analyst I team members and peers., • Verify calculations, supporting documentation, and compliance with established procedures., • Identify errors, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement before work products are finalized., • Help maintain quality control standards across the Account Administration team., • Support consistency and adherence to department processes and best practices. Process Improvement and Operational Excellence • Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes, workflows, templates, and reporting tools., • Recommend and implement incremental improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability., • Assist in documenting procedures, updating checklists, and refining operational processes., • Support departmental initiatives focused on continuous improvement and service excellence., • Leverage technology and AI tools where appropriate to improve workflow efficiency. Mentorship and Team Development • Provide guidance and support to Accounting Analyst I team members., • Share knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned with colleagues., • Assist in onboarding and training newer team members., • Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment., • Serve as a positive example of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement. Qualifications \tRequired • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field., • 3–6 years of professional experience in accounting, finance, public finance, district administration, or a related field., • Experience preparing financial reports, managing client deliverables, or supporting government finance functions., • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and dynamic spreadsheet development., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)., • Strong written and verbal communication skills., • Professional presentation and interpersonal skills., • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities., • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills., • Self-starter with the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities., • Adaptable and responsive to changing priorities and business needs. \t \tPreferred • Experience with government accounting, public finance, municipal finance, or special financing districts., • Experience serving as a primary client contact., • Experience reviewing work products or mentoring junior team members., • Familiarity with financial software, reporting systems, and workflow management tools., • Familiarity with AI tools and technology solutions that improve workflow efficiency., • Exposure to process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks.
