Job Description Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Shipping and Receiving Specialist to manage the seamless coordination of outbound and inbound shipments. This role involves ensuring on-time delivery, maintaining accurate documentation, and optimizing inventory control while providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities • Coordinate outbound shipments by picking, packing, labeling, and scheduling carrier pickups with UPS, FedEx, LTL, and TL to ensure timely delivery and proper documentation, including BOLs, packing lists, and export documents., • Inspect inbound deliveries, verify purchase orders, record discrepancies, and stage items for storage or production., • Perform cycle counts and reconcile inventory variances while updating ERP/WMS records and maintaining bin locations., • Adhere to product-specific packaging standards, hazmat requirements, and freight class rules., • Manage carrier relationships by comparing rates, tracking shipments, filing claims, and maintaining strong partnerships with carriers and freight forwarders., • Identify process bottlenecks and recommend improvements to enhance safety, accuracy, and throughput., • Support order fulfillment by confirming purchase orders, providing lead times and shipping estimates, and coordinating changes or expedited requests., • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat, providing order status, tracking information, returns/RMA instructions, and post-sale support., • Resolve issues related to damaged shipments, shortages, incorrect items, and billing questions by coordinating with warehouse, sales, and accounting., • Proficiency in inventory, shipping, and receiving logistics., • Experience with inventory control, order selection, and customer service., • Familiarity with SAP, ERP systems, data entry, and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel., • 2–4 years of experience in shipping/receiving, logistics coordination, customer service, or administrative support, preferably in manufacturing or distribution., • Technical proficiency with UPS, FedEx, and DHL portals, as well as MS 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams)., • Basic understanding of carrier rules, freight classes, BOLs, and packaging standards; knowledge of export documentation is a plus. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grapevine, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
