Job Description Architect / Architectural Designer – Architecture & Project Management (Hybrid Role) Long Island, NY (In-Office / Hybrid Considered) Salary Range: $80,000 – $100,000, with potential for higher compensation based on experience and qualifications Jared Mandel Architect PC is a residential architecture firm specializing in high-end custom homes and renovations. Our practice is intentionally hands-on—we remain involved throughout construction and offer architectural administration and project management services to ensure projects are executed with clarity, quality, and intent.We are seeking a mid- to senior-level Architect or Architectural Designer for a hybrid role combining architectural design, construction documentation, and project management, with a clear opportunity to grow into a senior leadership and formal Project Manager role within the firm. Role Overview This is not a drafting-only position. The role blends: • Architectural design and construction documentation, • Active involvement during construction Responsibilities • Develop architectural concepts and refined residential designs, • Produce complete, coordinated, permit-ready construction drawing sets, • Apply strong construction knowledge to detailing and real-world problem-solving, • Participate in construction site visits, meetings, and field coordination, • Act as a primary point of contact between clients, contractors, and consultants, • Provide architectural administration, including RFIs, submittals, and clarifications, • Assist with and gradually assume greater responsibility for project management, including scheduling, coordination, and construction-phase oversight, • Mid- to senior-level experience in an architectural practice, • Strong technical background with practical construction knowledge, • Ability to independently produce full construction document sets, • Interest in or experience with project management and construction administration, • Confident communicator with clients, contractors, and municipal officials, • Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit experience a plus), • Competitive salary: $80,000–$100,000, with upside for the right candidate, • Benefits package, • Retirement plan, • Clear path for professional growth into senior leadership and PM responsibilities, • Direct access to firm leadership and decision-making, • Meaningful involvement in projects from design through construction This role is ideal for someone who wants to grow beyond a traditional architectural position.
