In this role, you will promote the full range of animal nutrition products, solutions, and services to commercial cattle operations and key wholesale dealer accounts. In addition, you will have the support of experienced CHS animal nutritionists who provide expert consultation on customized ration planning, livestock nutritional management, animal health, environmental engineering, and feed financing. Responsibilities\n • Lead and execute territory strategy, partnering with internal and external business partners to achieve annual sales quota, • Proactively manage existing and new customer relationships, ensuring CHS is the supplier of choice for animal nutrition solutions through best practice account management and customer support., • Develop Payback Feed market share in the beef and the co-op dealer segment by delivering innovative solutions and services based on leading industry trends, • Effectively negotiate contracts with commercial livestock producers, independent nutritionists, and other strategic partners to pursue new business opportunities aligned to our AN growth strategy, • Develop an optimal marketing plan in support of territory strategy, including but not limited to training programs, trade shows, producer meetings, and retail campaigns, • Support the development of feeding programs and offer tailored nutrition consulting that aligns with the producer's specific needs and goals., • Guide best practices for sampling - ensure water, forage, grains, and feeds are tested regularly to provide the most accurate performance projections., • Deliver price quotes, credit terms, and leverage promotions within the sales territory., • Uphold accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and key territory opportunities in the company's CRM system., • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Job DescriptionAnimal Care Internship (Unpaid) - Summer 2026 Your Mission: To advance the mission and programs of the Animal Rescue League of Iowa (ARL) by volunteering time and effort to support the Animal Care teams while gaining valuable hands-on knowledge and experience in animal welfare and care practices in a shelter environment. What You’ll Do: As an Animal Care Intern, you’ll play an important role in supporting the daily care, enrichment, and wellbeing of animals at ARL Main, ARL Animal Services, and the Second Chance Ranch. You’ll assist with cleaning and maintaining animal housing areas, help monitor animal health and behavior, and immediately report any concerns to staff. You’ll learn to operate laundry, cleaning, and dishwashing equipment, help ensure all supplies and spaces are well maintained, and contribute to keeping the shelter environment clean, safe, and welcoming. Throughout the internship, you’ll complete rotations with the leaders at ARL Main, ARL Animal Services, and the Second Chance Ranch to gain a comprehensive understanding of the ARL’s shelter operations. You’ll also complete a research-based educational project designed to deepen your understanding of animal welfare and the ARL’s mission, which you’ll present at the conclusion of your internship. What You’ll Do: You will respond to calls regarding public safety, animal welfare, and quality-of-life concerns, including both domestic animals and, in some cases, wildlife. Your work will involve investigating cruelty, neglect, and bite cases, providing aid to injured or sick animals, and educating citizens about animal ordinances and responsible ownership. You’ll patrol city streets, ensure compliance with animal laws, issue warnings or citations when necessary, and maintain thorough, accurate reports of your daily activities. Operating Animal Services vehicles and equipment safely will be part of your day-to-day, and when necessary, you’ll perform humane euthanasia. Throughout all interactions—with ARL staff, law enforcement, and members of the public—you will represent the ARL and the City of Des Moines with professionalism and respect. What You Bring: You have a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record. You’re comfortable operating larger vehicles and can pass a police background check.
