Job DescriptionJob Title: Function Tester Job Description The Testing Technician will apply electrical theory and related knowledge to test control panels and enclosures electrically. This role involves ensuring wiring matches schematics and troubleshooting to resolve errors when presented. Responsibilities • Utilize blueprints for quality control and inspection of panels., • Operate hydraulic pallet jack., • Conduct function testing to measure the functionality of wiring and ensure panels are wired correctly., • Implement quality assurance policies during inspections and function testing., • Make notes on blueprints and bill of materials for any corrections needed., • Demonstrate familiarity with schematics and engage in problem-solving and troubleshooting., • Read tape measures and understand fraction and decimal dimensions, with training provided for interpreting specialized drawings.Essential Skills, • 1 year of quality control and function testing experience., • 1 to 4 years of previous wiring experience preferred., • 6 months experience operating hydraulic pallet jack., • Ability to lift/move up to 40 lbs., • Proficiency in reading schematics and blueprints.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience with electrical, electronics, HVAC, mechanic, and electrician tasks., • Familiarity with hand tools, electrical assembly, power tools, and function testing.Why Work Here? The facility houses 200 employees, with 16 in the quality assurance department. Dress code includes jeans, t-shirts, and closed-toed shoes, with safety glasses provided. The attendance policy allows a 5-minute clock-in cushion; exceeding this results in incidences, with a limit of 5 incidences in 60 days before termination. Doctor's notes can excuse incidences if presented within 2 days. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
