Read on for more details: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Prepare detailed and accurate credit presentations for Lending Manager, the Chief Credit Officer, and the Loan Committee., • Conduct comprehensive underwriting and structuring of commercial, consumer, agricultural, and real estate credit requests by analyzing borrower financial information, including financial statements, cash flows, tax returns, and financial projections., • Calculate and interpret key financial ratios, assess repayment capacity, and identify primary and secondary sources of repayment., • Evaluate collateral adequacy through review of appraisals, internal evaluations, inspection reports, and construction budgets., • Complete Asset Quality Evaluation Forms, Watch List reports, and other risk-rating documentation., • Monitor borrower performance, including covenant compliance, collateral conditions, and adherence to loan terms., • Review and interpret third-party reports such as appraisals, environmental assessments, and construction documentation., • Participate in meetings with prospective and existing customers to gather information and support the lending process., • Participate in internal loan review and audit processes, evaluating loan files for proper documentation, collateral adequacy, and policy compliance., • Work with the lending and compliance teams to ensure loans meet all applicable laws, regulations, and internal lending policies., • Contribute to continuous improvement of credit processes, tools, and internal controls., • Attend Loan Committee meetings to answer questions related to credit analysis, underwriting, and file documentation., • Accompany lenders on site visits as requested., • Uphold and promote adherence to all lending policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements., • Represents the bank positively and professionally in business development, volunteer and community activities in support of the bank’s mission and to enhance bank visibility in the community, • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy., • Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing detailed credit presentations, reports, and interacting with lenders, customers, and committees., • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment., • Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, tax returns, and financial projections., • Proficiency in calculating and interpreting key financial ratios (e.g., debt service coverage, leverage, liquidity, profitability), assessing repayment capacity, and identifying primary/secondary sources of repayment., • Experience evaluating collateral, including reviewing appraisals, environmental reports, inspection reports, construction budgets, and other third-party documentation., • Familiarity with risk rating systems, preparing Asset Quality Evaluation Forms, Watch List reports, and other credit risk documentation., • Understanding of loan monitoring processes, including covenant compliance tracking, borrower performance review, and adherence to loan terms., • Knowledge of regulatory compliance (e.g., applicable banking laws, regulations, and internal lending policies) and experience participating in loan reviews, audits, or compliance processes., • Experience attending or presenting at Loan Committee meetings, participating in customer meetings/site visits, or supporting lenders is highly desirable., • Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Agricultural Economics, or a closely related field., • Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in commercial credit analysis, underwriting, or lending support within a bank or financial institution. Experience should include analyzing financial statements, preparing credit presentations/memos, and supporting loan decisions for commercial, agricultural, real estate, and/or consumer credits.
