Job Description Front of House Executive, Full-service Restaurant Des Moines, IA Paying $60-70k!!! We are a full-service restaurant that has systematically evolved into one of the Midwest’s premier hospitality restaurants. The ideal Front of House Executive will possess a high level of energy with confidence and edge. This person will be a well-maintained, active, individual with the physical ability to handle a busy work environment on a continual basis. The successful candidate will have similar industry experience in high volume, full service, quality-oriented restaurants and still have something to prove in his/her career. Prior work experience in an entrepreneurial environment with direct managerial responsibility in a restaurant producing gross sales in excess of $7 million is essential. This person will have held various positions of increasing responsibility and have successfully managed comparable numbers of seats, sales volume and staff. This individual will have the ability to increase sales through internal marketing strategies as well as pursue community involvement strategies. A keen understanding of the local marketplace and the competitors within is essential along with a willingness to focus on the details of executing previously successful or newly created marketing campaigns. The Front of House Executive will be thoughtful in his/her use of the brand and market the restaurant in a way that is consistent with the brand. Fiscal responsibility with the understanding and ability to affect cost controls is important. This individual will have hands-on experience in this area and will have specific examples of how he/she improved a previous situation. The ability to identify trends and forecast business is essential. A successful Front of House Executive will be able to communicate clearly and effectively with multiple layers of people between staff, management, support center, guests, and the community at large. This person will also communicate the vision for the future on a regular basis. Lastly, the ideal candidate for this position will be well-versed in operation with the ability to look at the restaurant through a microscopic lens while managing global progress. The Front of House Executive is responsible for managing the daily operations of our restaurant, including the selection, development, and performance management of employees. In addition, they oversee the inventory and ordering of food and supplies, optimize profits and ensure that guests are satisfied with their dining experience. The Front of House Executive reports to the General Manager and Regional Vice President. Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant and make final decisions on matters of importance to guest service. Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility, and labor costs. ™ Responsible for ensuring that all financial (invoices, reporting) and personnel/payroll-related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time, and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
