Key Responsibilities: • Provide individual and group therapeutic music sessions in clients home and community settings., • Maintain reliable transportation to travel to client locations., • Assess new clients through observation, interviews, and collaboration with clients and their support teams., • Request desired units for therapy services and submit outcomes to case managers and teams., • Set and adjust schedules based on unit allotment, ensuring timely and effective services., • Collect and maintain necessary documentation including ISP, Intake Applications, and Assessments., • Continuously review and maintain current ISP, Quarterly Reports, and stay informed on clients' medical needs and risks., • Write, review, and revise therapeutic outcomes and goals based on client needs and progress., • Complete quarterly reports, include progress toward and revision of goals, observations and client participation, upload to BDDS, • Make necessary accommodations for individual needs, such as communication, choice-making, and activity schedules., • Document observations, participation, progress, and client reactions after each session, ensuring accurate and timely progress notes., • Track therapy units and adjust schedules to ensure proper usage, preventing overages or underutilization., • Regularly collaborate with clients support teams, sharing feedback and updates on therapy progress and concerns., • Maintain MT-BC (Music Therapy-Board Certification) by engaging in continuing education, conferences, and staying informed about community and therapeutic resources. Qualifications: • Bachelors degree in Music Therapy or a related field., • Active Music Therapist (MT-BC) credentials. Preferred: • Familiarity with the Individualized Service Plan (ISP) and Behavior Support Plan (BSP) documentation and review processes., • Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities, demonstrating a strong understanding of their needs and abilities., • Ability to work independently, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. We are seeking a Music Therapist to join our team and provide comprehensive music therapy services to individuals in both facility-based and home-based settings, as well as in group and individual sessions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing the needs of individuals, planning, implementing, and evaluating music therapy services to meet those needs. Primary Responsibilities: • Develop and implement individualized music therapy programs based on each person's Person-Centered Individual Service Plan (PCISP)., • Foster positive relationships with individuals, families, and staff., • Attend case conferences, staff meetings, and professional development activities as required., • Abide by the most current American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice., • Plan and lead goal-oriented music therapy sessions that are developmentally appropriate., • Facilitate active participation in music therapy sessions, offering choices and encouraging individuals to use their existing skills., • Evaluate and document the progress of individuals served, maintaining thorough records., • Utilize the billing system for service billing and documenting progress notes., • Inventory and maintain supplies, equipment, and instruments necessary for music therapy sessions.Job Qualifications:, • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy or a related field., • Certification from the Board for Music Therapists (CBMT) is required.
