About the Company The Corporate Paralegal supports the day-to-day operations of Mi-Case's legal department, which serves a multi-entity corporate structure and a customer base concentrated in U.S. public safety and public sector agencies. This role owns the administrative and operational layer of the legal function, maintaining contract, template, and policy libraries, tracking compliance and contractual obligations across multiple frameworks, and supporting corporate governance, RFP coordination, and document preparation. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working independently in a lean team, and capable of managing recurring legal operations tasks with minimal supervision while supporting a broad range of legal and compliance activities. About the Role The Corporate Paralegal supports the day-to-day operations of Mi-Case's legal department. Responsibilities Contract and Template Administration • Maintain and organize the contract repository, including executed agreements, renewals, and key obligation tracking., • Manage the legal template library, ensuring templates are current, version-controlled, and accessible., • Prepare first-draft contracts, NDAs, and governance documents from established templates., • Track contract deadlines, renewal dates, and notice requirements across the active contract portfolio. Policy and Compliance Documentation • Maintain the policy library, coordinating scheduled reviews, approvals, versioning, and distribution., • Track compliance deadlines and documentation requirements across CJIS, GDPR, and other applicable frameworks., • Assist in preparing and organizing compliance documentation and evidence in support of internal and external audits, including ISO 9001 and 27001 activities., • Support periodic policy updates and assist in drafting standard operating procedures and governance documents. Corporate Governance Support • Coordinate corporate filings and maintain subsidiary records across the company's multi-entity structure., • Support board and officer documentation, including resolutions and annual governance requirements., • Maintain registered agent correspondence and track jurisdiction-specific compliance deadlines. RFP and Business Development Support • Assist in coordinating legal and compliance responses to RFPs, due diligence inquiries, and procurement compliance requests., • Organize and maintain compliance documentation packages for business development purposes, including certifications, policies, and attestations. General Legal Operations • Manage document execution workflows, including e-signature coordination and filing., • Maintain matter tracking and legal department records., • Support the General Counsel on special projects and legal operations initiatives as needed. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree required; paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent paralegal experience preferred., • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a paralegal, legal operations, or compliance support role in a regulated environment., • Working knowledge of contract lifecycle management, including drafting, review, negotiation, execution, and ongoing obligation management., • Experience supporting government contracting, including RFP processes, procurement compliance, and public sector customer requirements., • Prior in-house, government, or public sector legal experience preferred., • Experience with AI tools, including large language models and generative AI applications, is required., • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO, CJIS, or NIST is preferred but not required., • Strong documentation, process-writing, and organizational skills., • Proficiency with document management systems, e-signature platforms, and productivity tools (e.g., SharePoint, Adobe, Microsoft 365)., • Ability to manage competing priorities and recurring deadlines independently. Team Structure This position reports directly to the General Counsel and works closely with HR, IT Security, Operations, and Business Development teams.
