Job DescriptionSalary: $15.00 hourly Title: Finance and Accounting Intern Status: Temporary (September to December 2025) Hours: Up to 20/week, Monday Friday working hours 9 am to 6 pm Location: Bloomington, IN Reports to: Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Company Summary: Secretly is a collective of leading independent music companies, including three label groups, a music publisher, a distributor, and shared support staff. Each affiliate maintains a unique artist roster while sharing resources, expertise, and a commitment to preserving the creative integrity of their independent labels and catalogs. SG Services, Inc. provides accounting services, legal services, IT support, tech support and human resource support to the Secretly affiliated companies. These companies include Secretly Group, Secretly Distribution, drink sum wtr, Ghostly International, 37d03d, and The Numero Group. Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated and analytical intern to join our team, with responsibilities split approximately 70% in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and 30% in Accounting. This role will assist the Director of FP&A in forecasting, deal analysis, and providing strategic advisement across record labels, publishing, and distribution. This role will also support the Controller in financial reporting, monthly closes, and special projects. This internship is an excellent opportunity for a candidate interested in gaining hands-on experience in both financial strategy and core accounting functions within a dynamic and creative industry. Responsibilities (70% FP&A/ 30% Accounting: • Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), • Assist the Director of FP&A with forecasting, budgeting, deal analysis, and strategic advisement for labels, publishing, and distribution, • Perform financial due diligence on potential new signings, acquisitions, and partnerships, • Maintain and optimize company forecast models, • Analyze variances of actual financial performance to forecasts and budgets, • Document financial processes and identify potential improvements, • Monitor and summarize industry trends and market conditions, • Gather and synthesize information from A&R, Marketing, and Legal to inform financial forecasts and budgets\, • Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses for senior leadership, • Accounting, • Assist with accounts payable and other accounting infrastructure projects, i.e., royalty estimates, inventory analysis, and 1099s, • Participate in special projects, system enhancements, and ad hoc analyses as assigned, • Assist with ledger entry and financial reporting in QuickBooks Online across multiple companies, • Support the Controller with month-end close activities The Ideal Candidate Demonstrates: • Understanding of accounting principles and accounting processes from an undergraduate accounting, finance, or business program, • Trusted individual with impeccable ethical standards and profile, • Proven interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, • Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and lookup functions, • Fundamental understanding of standard financial statements (Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flows, and Balance Sheet), • Creative problem-solving skills, • Interest in the music industry Salary: Bloomington, IN $15.00/hr.
