We are seeking a dynamic individual to fill the newly established role of CFO Advisory Director, Head of Performance Measurement & Management FP&A Advisory. As a CFO Advisory – FP&A Advisory Director , you will: • Build a team of talented FP&A resources focused on providing leading practice solutions to Cherry Bekaert’s middle market client base, across multiple industries, • Work collaboratively with our existing advisory practice leaders, and our audit and tax practice leaders to drive business development opportunities both within our existing client base and with net new clients, • Articulate and build a clear go-to-market approach around FP&A Advisory services focused on meeting the needs of our middle market client base, • Be a leader within our CFO Advisory practice with the opportunity to drive strategy for our practice and the firm and take advantage of a significant market opportunity, • Have deep expertise in:, • Liquidity and Working Capital Optimization, • Budgeting, Planning and Forecasting modeling and processes, • Performance Management and Analytics, • Development of leading FP&A processes, practices and solutions within the middle market, • Financial and Operational Analysis, • Have significant experience working in a fast-paced environment, and working with Private Equity backed organizations and other leading middle market companies, • Be comfortable leading the business development, sales, scoping, and delivery of FP&A Advisory services across multiple industries, • Guide and lead client interviews, ask inquisitive questions, and understand different stakeholders’ perspective, • Identify knowledge gaps, guide the team to challenge status quo, validate, disprove and/or develop better assumptions, • Ensure issues and opportunities are clearly and concisely presented, • Understand key finance and accounting processes, how they tie to operational process and ultimately how we can drive value creation and EBITDA improvement for our clients, • Ensure that the project approach, timeline, and deliverables are logical, reasonable, and accurate, • Set and communicate client’s expectations consistently, • Employ actionable plans (e.g. create initiatives to optimize working capital, implement liquidity improvement programs and improve financial transparency throughout our clients’ operations), • Identify risks and obstacles early on, create contingency plans, and communicate timely with the client, • Leverage previous experience to guide and promote the team to think innovatively, • Recognize the current skill set of team members and maximize their level of contribution, • Share knowledge and experience, provide coaching to teammates, act as a mentor to several junior resources, • Ability to provide valuable insight and improvement initiatives to senior management and board members, • Willingness and proven track record of selling/meeting performance goals set by leadership Required Education/Experience/Certifications • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred., • 10+ of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, financial consulting (leading Accounting or Advisory firms), private equity, or investment banking., • Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools is a plus., • Proven track record of driving process improvements and supporting transformation initiatives., • Our shared values that foster inclusion and belonging, including uncompromising integrity, collaboration, trust, and mutual respect, • The opportunity to innovate and do work that motivates and engages you, • A collaborative environment focused on enabling you to further your career growth and continuous professional development, • Competitive compensation and a total rewards package that focuses on all aspects of your wellbeing, • Flexibility to do impactful work and the time to enjoy your life outside of work, • Opportunities to connect and learn from professionals from different backgrounds and with different cultures Cherry Bekaert cares about our people. Individual salaries within this range are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education, knowledge, skills, and geographic location.
