Associate Director, Senior Systems Engineer Location: New York, NY (Onsite – 4 days/week) Compensation: $155,000–$165,000 base + bonus Schedule: Full-time Benefits: 100% paid benefits, vacation, holidays off Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer (Associate Director level) to join our Infrastructure team and play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise technology systems across a global environment. This role is both hands-on and strategic, responsible for optimizing system performance, security, and reliability in support of critical business operations. You’ll collaborate closely with infrastructure, security, and application teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions and support key trading, financial, and accounting platforms. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. Key Responsibilities • Ensure operational excellence, security, and high availability of global infrastructure systems., • Design, implement, and maintain Windows and Citrix environments across on-prem and cloud infrastructures., • Manage system upgrades, patches, and configuration changes using best practices and documentation standards., • Support enterprise applications, including trading platforms, fund accounting, and financial systems., • Coordinate and troubleshoot escalated technical issues, providing Tier 3 support to the help desk team., • Develop and maintain detailed system documentation and process workflows., • Oversee capacity planning, performance tuning, and monitoring of infrastructure resources., • Participate in disaster recovery planning and system testing., • Collaborate with IT leadership on architecture, standards, and automation initiatives. Required Qualifications • Minimum 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure, ideally in financial services or a trading environment., • Advanced experience in Citrix technologies (Delivery Controller, PVS, StoreFront, Netscaler/VPX); Citrix Cloud experience a plus., • Strong expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Azure AD, and Office 365., • Skilled in PowerShell scripting, automation, and CI/CD tools., • Proficient with SCCM (or equivalent), patch management, and deployment automation., • Understanding of authentication and security frameworks: SAML, Kerberos, RADIUS, MFA., • Familiar with vulnerability scanning, remediation, and endpoint security platforms (e.g., Rapid7, Intune, ATP)., • Experience with VMware, Cisco UCS, SAN, and backup systems (Commvault, Rubrik)., • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and interpersonal skills., • Ability to support a 24x7 operational environment, including occasional nights/weekends. Preferred Skills & Certifications • PowerShell, Azure DevOps, or automation toolset experience., • Familiarity with monitoring and log platforms (LogicMonitor, SumoLogic)., • Working knowledge of PKI/MS CA, privileged access management, and infrastructure monitoring tools., • Relevant Microsoft, Citrix, or cloud certifications are a plus.
